March 10Mar 10 The American Psychiatric Association (APA) is working on revising it's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual which is psychiatry's diagnostic bible. Currently it is in version 5 so the next one due to come out in 2030 will be version 6. From what they're describing in this article it seems like it will just make it even easier to diagnose people and pull them into the system. They also clearly acknowledge that there is little to no scientific basis behind anything they do.
