April 28Apr 28 This guide is meant to be a guide to how to breath properly and meditate.I believe meditation is very useful at putting yoursel at a higher emotional state, which will make it easier to feel better and detach from all the symptoms. This guide will contain some spiritual wording, take it as you will.Breath:Very simple, just breath in for 5 seconds from your nose, and breath out for 5 seconds through your nose (full seconds, not quick ones), fully nose breathing is much preferred as it's healthier and mouth breathing is linked to diseases. make sure you breath to your belly and not your chest. You can practice breathing by doing so and putting a hand on your belly to make sure you are breathing to your belly. This breathing is optimal for health according to a book called Breath.Meditation:Simply Breath as above in a position that allows you to relax and with your eyes closed, For beginners you can lay down on a mattress on the floor in a Shavasana Pose (don't lay on your bed cause you could fall asleep easier), for a better more intermediate position, you can sit in a crossed legs position on a mattress. The hardest part in meditation is the first 5 minutes, after that time, you start to connect to a higher state, when you feel you do, focus on it and direct your breath towards there. If you never meditated before, start with a small amount of time (like 5 minutes or even less), and then go for longer meditations as you become more experienced, I like personally to go for short 10-15 minutes sessions, as these are very refreshing and put me in a better state which can stay around for a while after the meditation. You need to be consistent with meditations, if you stop doing them, you disconnect from that more calm state and become more surface leveled emotional and volatile again.Note: you can also walk meditate as well, by walking in a calm environment and focusing on breathing.
