I don't know if this is how we post things this is my first time here so apologies if I done something wrong.

This is the only place I could find on the internet that has any kind of mention of a support group. I was on antidepressants for 13 years. During that time I was also on anti-anxiety medication and a typical antipsychotics. I was eventually diagnosed with PTSD from some interesting childhood trauma. Eventually I'll put on as a presents. After High School I tried my hand at a professional sports career. But two injuries make me rethink what I was doing. And I decided to follow the conventional thinking of a time and have a backup plan. So I went to University and eventually within that first year I fell into a massive depression. Sports always kept the flashbacks at Bay. But the problems I have to consistently do that and I never quite worked through that problem. So when I go to university and I have to study the more stress that happen more that came back. Friend of mine who was looking to get into med school suggested going on antidepressants so I talked to my doctor and he put me a nice depressants. I was on several different kinds for 13 years. They just made me very sleepy Zapped me of all my energy and took away my ability to think and concentrate. Completely lost out on my Athletics career. I did eventually finish my undergrad but it's my biggest regret. Especially since the industry has pretty much collapsed in my country. I'm trying to find something in life that I can at least be proud of.

Again this is my first time posting and I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place or if I'm coming out too strong enough. I'm just wondering did anyone else experience something like this? Did anyone else experience these symptoms? Did anyone else somehow lose that on life because of these stupid ass pills?

I'm sorry that you had a hard time on psych drugs. As mentioned above, could you please update your signature to show which drugs you took and during which time periods?

Are you off all psych drugs now? Are you suffering from any withdrawal symptoms?

Many folks here have had, or are having, a bad time on psychotropic drugs. Many more had an ok time while on the drugs, but are really struggling to get off, or have come off and are in protracted withdrawal. These drugs can harm us in many different ways.

It would be really helpful if you could give us some more information about your situation so we can help support you in the best way possible.

In the mean time this is what I would do if I were you:

-Stay Hydrated

-Eat a good clean whole food diet, avoiding processed foods and sugars.

-Stay away from caffeine, alcohol and antihistamines and any other psychoactive substances.

Supplements are to be avoided initially, as they often irritate our nervous systems. Try to get your nutrition through food.

Down the line, you may wish to introduce Fish Oil and Magnesium. Those who can tolerate them have found them calming to the nervous system. Be careful try one at a time and start low and see how you get on should you choose to try them.

A daily walk is very important as much as you can manage, if you can manage it. Gets you your fresh air and Vitamin D does wonders for your mind!

You are very welcome here and I hope you find the site supportive.
