How do you know when it's time to taper?

Featured Replies

How do you know what its time to taper? It's a common question. The standard answer is when you are stable. Rate your symptoms from 1-10 if they are at a 1-3 then you are ready! Right. Well I think it can be more complex than that. I think getting to know your baseline, understanding your symptom patterns and generally learning to read your own body is a hugely important skill to achieve.

In this video Angie and Emma talk about a bunch of really interesting stuff but the section about Body-led tapering is a well worth a listen! (@ 07.00 minutes)

I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I only offer my thoughts as support. Please speak to your health practitioner about your care. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys.
