Trenxt: Prozac

Featured Replies

I fell for the ( self tapering BS. I was on liquid form 20mg/5ml to bridge from Venlafaxine but my body is too messed up I couldn't keep going, hospitalizations made it worse since they don't compound Venlafaxine, etc.

Long story short I went from 5ml prozac to 0 in maybe 2 months. Extreme insomnia extreme bloating and distention can't eat nor drink cuz I feel I'll explode.

I went back to 0.6ml and insomnia went away for 6 days to come back again. The stomach has not changed, I read if insomnia doesn't change in 2-3 nights or not gi results to drop 5% to 0.57 something about too much activation. I'm on Venlafaxine 37.5mg XR. When is this madness going to be over not sleep and this stomach issue that won't let me eat is inhumane. What to do ?

Prozac 10mg October 2025

Attempted to taper off January 2023, ended up having a major breakdown and going up to 30mg, took weeks to stabilise

1 month taper  to 0mg

Last dose April 2023

Severe withdrawal syndrome with many physical symptoms

Summary: 5 months using Mirtazapine, including 1 month taper ending late April 2023.

Thank you for joining.

It is difficult to unpick the timescales and what drugs have been taken when.

Could you please summarise your drug use with dates, perhaps in bullet points?

For example:

  • XX of November YYmg of ZZdrug
  • AA of December BBmg of CCdrug

and so on?

It is hard to provide advice without this clarity.

I can't recall exact dates but I did my best. I know I cuz too fast because I was sleeping for 5 or 6 days then insomnia would come back on, I guess in the next 2 weeks it got stable and same episode.

What I'm concerned is what's happening now? It's been 16 days I reinstated to 0.6, I slept for about 5 or 6 days and I'm back to 0 sleep, GI bloating, pain no hunger. Is this serotogenic activation? Is the dose 2 high and I need to micro taper to see if it improves?

How can it be still withdrawal it it gave me relief the first couple of days and it's supposed to build up due to its long half life, shouldn't I be better if it were withdrawal?

I heard of kindling but I'm afraid of going up or down but current dose is killing me with the insomnia and I even take lemborexant for it with no effect.

Should I go down to .58 or .57? Or what? I'm scared

I basically went from CT to almost same amount I CT from. Was that too high? I'm so nervous and terrified. 1 titration or taper could be more way more detrimental.

Was there a point during your taper which you were ok at?

When did you CT?
