February 2Feb 2 Hello everyone! Super excited to be on here after Surviving Antidepressants turned to read-only. For a little background information, My name is Jillian, I'm 23 years old, and I'm on 25mg of Prozac (fluoxetine). I was prescribed 10mg of Lexapro in 2018 at the age of 15/16 for panic attacks, was on that until about March 2024, Lexapro pooped out then PCP switched me abruptly to Prozac which rocked my nervous system. Felt like I had developed POTS, got an EKG (scan of my heart) and everything was fine. Currently, Prozac gives me uncomfortable physical symptoms such as hot weather intolerance, takes me nothing to feel dehydrated and have a migraine (constantly having to drink electrolytes), needing to sleep a lot, lessened appetite, random bouts of nausea, irritability, the list goes on! This made me decide I wanted to get off. Tired of feeling like I have the same energy levels as my grandma! I'd like to connect so feel free to message me back with your own story! Jillian Here's my SA Thread 2018-2023: 10mg Lexapro 2023-now: 25mg Prozac
February 2Feb 2 Hi Jillian Welcome to the forum! Thank you for posting your Intro Topic here. I have found you on SA and linked your thread there above for you. I also copied over your signature whilst I was there, hope that was ok? I see you are considering starting your taper off Prozac soon. We wish you luck with that. You are in an excellent position with all the necessary resources available to you to do this safely. 🙂 It is great to have you here. Anything you need just let us know. As with SA this is your topic post as little more as much as you need. Chippy I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I only offer my thoughts as support. Please speak to your health practitioner about your care. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys. If you are from the UK please make sure you fill in a 'Yellow Card' report for the MHRA. It is you doing your bit to help make a difference. Please take the time to do it today 🙂 https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.ukFor US members details here.
February 2Feb 2 Thank you for crossing over. Hopefully this place will provide you with similar support. Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all. Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes. February 25Feb 25 Author Hello everyone! Question for you guys. I began my tablet to liquid transition on 2/2. The height of my symptoms came 2/13-2/19. This included heavy DPDR, nausea, tinnitus, constant overstimulation, and increased irritability. I noticed a few days ago that my head started to feel a lot more clear and my mood was much more stable. I felt better eating more frequently and had more of an appetite overall. What is weird is that now I am having some vertigo to where it feels like I'm on a waterbed. This started maybe 3 days ago. It was very subtle at first, so much so that I was wondering if it was just my head messing with me. However, last night it was much more intense and uncomfortable. I have a long history with vertigo but I haven't felt any in a long time at all, so I am wondering why these symptoms are coming up after I was just starting to feel better. Feeling a little frustrated but I need to learn to roll with the punches because being angry does nothing! Any advice helps, also I would love a texting buddy for withdrawal so if anyone is open, please let me know! Jillian 2018-2023: 10mg Lexapro 2023-now: 25mg Prozac

On AR we just gave one topic per member and keep everything contained in here. Are you saying you felt swapping to liquids has caused you problems? We recommend a crossover period as described in here. Holding when symptoms show. Using Manufactured Liquid Antidepressants Sounds like the other symptoms are easing? It’s common they will fluctuate and new ones come along. Certainly I wouldn’t make further drops till you feel better. Chippy I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice.
