May 23May 23 1 hour ago, Lost Penguin said:zomigI figured it was one that messes with serotonin. It has a potential interaction with trazadone. These drugs are given out so freely and doctors never check this stuff. It angers me.adding Zomig (zolmitriptan) to trazodone can increase your risk of developing serotonin syndrome, a potentially serious condition caused by too much serotonin in your brain. May 24May 24 Author Hey @LostinCanada I had been taking it for 11 years no problem and even took it for many months with the trazodone. But after having kindling reaction to caffeine (before finding SA) I think my nervous system go too sensitized. May 24May 24 Author By the way, the way the migraines started in the first place was serotonin syndrome when I was put on 10 drugs in a psych ward 11 years ago. Passive SI over devastating medical conditions and burn out in university. They started drugging me for my OCD, which was not the cause of my distress at the time. Effexor caused rigidity, exploding head and neck lifted off pillow. They dismissed me, doubled it and I took it for 2 weeks. 24/7 migraine problem since. I never told anyone how the migraine developed because it sounds like I’m misinterpreting/exaggerating what happened in the facility. June 9Jun 9 @Lost Penguin I thought there must be something being violated here. This is what AI says you can do and what your rights are:When can a doctor end the physician-patient relationship? While they cannot discriminate based on your disability, a doctor can dismiss you under specific, valid circumstances:Practice changes: If the doctor is retiring, relocating, or reducing the size of their practice.Breakdown in trust: If there is a severe breach of the therapeutic relationship, such as forged prescriptions, threats of harm, or continuous verbal abuse.Patient abandonment protocols: A doctor cannot simply dismiss a patient without cause or warning. They must follow the CPSBC Practice Standard on Ending the Patient Relationship, which requires them to:Provide written notification to the patient.Give you adequate time (usually a minimum of 30 days) to find alternative care.Continue to provide necessary care or bridge prescriptions during the transition period. What to do if you are being dismissed Improperly. If you believe you are being dropped inappropriately, it is strongly advised to try discussing the situation with your doctor or the clinic manager first, as you are protected by the BC Human Rights Code. You can also review your rights with the Disability Alliance BC. I am not a medical professional. My comments are based on my personal experience and information on SA. June 10Jun 10 Author I’m too ill and maimed to file complaints or do anything. My psychologist is filing a complaint against him. He’s aware I had already applied for MAID due to several conditions and had an assessment too. So far I have someone who will temporarily fill my prescriptions. I just have to lay down. My brain is dead and I can’t even handle walking to the bathroom. You are doing amazing really. When I first called BC ministry, all you could do was cry...they just listened so patiently and helped in so many ways. We had zero income because I had monophobia and my husband couldn't leave my side... they didn't make me come in because I wasn't able. They dealt with me so humanely. One day at a time.... sending love. ❤️❤️❤️ I am not a medical professional. My comments are based on my personal experience and information on SA.
