March 26Mar 26 No ... not yet anyway. I'm just a big fan of road racing - like they have in parts of the UK and Europe (Isle of Man TT, North West 200 etc). You're not the first person to ask me that on here so I think I'd better change my picture as I kinda feel like a poser now 🤣 I can imagine one becoming a junkie (and that becoming excessively expensive) as I can see wanting sport bikes and dual-sports and cruisers and freakin Goldwings ... everything. What are you into? Olanzapine (5mg) started June 2023 - This is the only drug I'm currently taking. I haven't used any other psych drugs. After 4 weeks dropped to 2.5mg for 5 days then dropped to 1.25mg for 3 days (all on doctor's orders) - Severe withdrawal symptoms commenced. I always wanted a sport bike since I was a kid but then a guy I know got in a life-altering crash on one - which kinda put the fear in me for a very long time. That said I still want one. June 2Jun 2 Hi @Mittenraised. Nice to see someone on here tapering seroquel. I’m currently on a relatively low dose (12.5 mg) and hope to start my taper once things have settled down following several drugs changes that have left me very unstable.I’m having a hard time finding tapering resources specific to seroquel/antipsychotics generally. I found a copy of the index to the Maudsley Deprescribing Guidelines online and it doesn’t look like they cover antipsychotics. I did find one paper by Horowitz and others that suggested you could jump off seroquel at 20 mg — which seems crazy high!!Can I ask if there are any specific resources you used to guide your taper, especially at lower doses? Edited June 2Jun 2 by SarahMc I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I am new to this journey and my thoughts are based only on my personal experience with psychiatric drugs. June 3Jun 3 Author Hi @SarahMc ,I followed FeralCatman at Survivingantidepressants.org. I water titrate the immediate acting pill.Taper 10% of my last dose, each month. Sometimes longer, sometimes sooner. You can tell, your body speaks to you through discomfort. If I need to, I wait. I plan to discontinue around 1 mg. I had a friend at SA that stopped at 2 mg. She was OK. Everyone is different. Let me know when you start, I'll help as much as I can. The last big mistake I made before I found this site and decided to stabilize on my current meds was trying to come off my seroquel dose really fast.
