Could someone tell me if any vitamins or minerals helped you during your taper.

I currently take magnesium, vit D, vit Bs, and fish oil.

I do not know if they are even helping me at all.

any advise on this would sure help

Hey @sunshinekitty

Ive moved this back here for you. We like to have one topic each and keep everything in the same place.

Supplements are to be avoided initially, as they often irritate our nervous systems. Try to get your nutrition through food.

Down the line, you may wish to introduce Fish Oil and Magnesium. Those who can tolerate them have found them calming to the nervous system. Be careful try one at a time and start low and see how you get on should you choose to try them.

We dont suggest supplements as a rule on here. Others are free to share their experiences of course but basically there are to avoided.

Are you making your liquid yourself from a pill and water/fluid or is this a manufactured liquid antidepressant?

Ok

so:

1ml - 4mg

2.5ml - 10mg

1.5ml - 6mg

0.5ml - 2mg

If you need to make smaller/more accurate cuts you can dilute it further if the liquid has water in it which I suspect it does.

Yes, frequently. I am bedbound when this happens. It is a feature for me every 3rd or 4th day and can last hours.

November 2024 Elvanse for ADHD. Anxiety and jaw clenching, stopped after 4 weeks. Felt fine.

January 2025 Medikinet XL

Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 3 weeks. Felt fine

March 2025 Concerta XL Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 2 weeks. Felt fine

April-May 2025 Amfexa and Methylphenidate instant release, both only worked for an hour so stopped.  Felt fine.

June 2025 Atomoxetine started slow taper. Immediate hot flushing and feeling sluggish.

July-September 2025 Tapered up to 70mg Atomoxetine. Constipation, insomnia, muscle spasms, weird thoughts, mood swings, night sweats, hot flushes, brain fog, dizziness etc

October 2025 rapid taper off Atomoxetine. I also had a GA for shoulder surgery the same week I finished meds.

Ongoing symptoms ever since, but now also trouble swallowing, difficulty passing urine, muscle twitches, depersonalisation, heavy limbs, emotional blunting, apathy, feeling "wired" and robotic, PGAD.

New symptoms February 2026: Nausea and burning head

Supplements: B12, folate and Vit D as all were bordering on deficient.

Bad reactions to CBD oil, Mag glycinate, Mag L.Threonate and Fish Oil

@sunshinekitty Magnesium glycinate made my night sweats worse and I had worse (much worse) anxiety during the day. Magnesium L threonate gave me whole body shivers. Fish oil caused dreadful depression and nausea and lower leg cramps - very similar to how I felt on stimulant medication interestingly.

Hey

Ive moved this back here for you. We keep all these posts in our intro threads.

Im sorry you are having such a hard time.

I notice you increased your dose this month from 2mg to 2.5mg this is a 25% increase and is much too much in one go.

How would you rate your symptoms out of 10 before the increase? How would you rate them now?

What day of March did you increase your dose?

Please check in here rather jump your dose around. We want to help before you make incorrect moves rather than after. Xxx

@sunshinekitty We do not recommend straight switching one drug for another, this can cause further destabilisation.

The symptoms you are experiencing are likely to do with the large dose cuts- these are far larger than recommended here and in other support groups:

Tapering Information - Tapering - The Antidepressant Harm and Recovery Forum

The reinstatement was also a significant increase. Continuing to jump around doses by large quantities is very likely to cause destabilisation and the types of symptoms you're experiencing.

I would personally not recommend further adding to the instability by making further dose changes or introducing further drugs due to a 4 day wave. This is likely to cause issues for longer than 4 days.

The best course of action in my opinion (and I am a stranger on the internet, not a doctor), is to wait further time to see if you stabilise on the dose you are on, making NO more changes.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes.

Story from SA: LukeUK: Remeron/Mirtazapine Severe Withdrawal - Introductions and updates - Surviving Antidepressants

Hey

Ive moved this back here as we like to keep all the posts we make in the same place.

The reason you feel bad won’t be down to the fact you prefer Zoloft. It’s because you have shifted your doses and drugs around so much.

Have you read my post above?

Did you feel worse after your increased to 2.5/2.6mg? Do you have a date for this increase?
