May 11May 11 My appendix burst in the middle of withdrawal. A few days after having surgery and feeling fine, I got hit with a bad wave, similar to acute. It let up after a month or so. I also took prescribed painkillers, but I stopped once the withdrawals hit.I don't know if it was the painkillers or the appendix but it let up.Stay the course, it will pass. A whole bunch of psych meds starting in 2014, I am now only on Lamotrigine: Current dose 6mg(1/26)->5.8(2/26)->5.6(7/26)->5.4(8/26)->5.2(9/26)

Sweating buckets, just absolutely demolished. No water to speak of. Had to quit early cause i stopped sweating and was seeing double. Barely made it home and dry heaved on the toilet and then laid on the bathroom tile floor for an hour while my toddler bounced toys off my head. Had a lukewarm shower and then experienced a crazy crazy migraine for like 5 hours. Next day (today) has felt better than any previous day in this journey. I woke up feeling clear. Like my brain wasnt foggy, it was crisp and thinking straight. No visual issues, no vertigo, no twitches, cramps, halt palps, nothing.Literally the opposite effect that i think most people in WD would have from sustaining a highly stressed state for a decent many hours and having my body try to shut down on me. I think we are all so different. I was expecting you to say you had a big uptick in symptoms after!I did enjoy the note about your little one bouncing toys off you! May 22May 22 I don't push myself anywhere near as hard as that, but I too have days where I over exert myself and it doesn't affect me after I have recovered from it.Withdrawal can absolutely heighten how bad it feels to exert yourself, or get overheated and all those kinds of things, but not everyone then has prolonged setbacks from it.I've been immensely physically ill, but have never felt that I worsened it by doing what I could, although I've had to stop things because I was feeling worse and worse in the moment. Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all. May 22May 22 Hey @Talltreescoldseas , I am also not exercise intolerant and have continued to push my body pretty hard through all this (not to the point of heat stroke of course, but definitely to the point of physical exhaustion). For me, the day after training hard I sometimes feel better and sometimes worse. I’ve basically concluded it’s entirely random. But really glad to hear you had your best day yet — whatever the reason, it’s a great sign!! I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. May 30May 30 Author Update:So i had an appointment with my GP (been doing one per month since this shit hit the fan. He listened to everything I said and went “well yeah, steroids and any drug with a concentric ring structure exerts their effects on dna. That’s how they work. Most people though seem to shake off the changes pretty quickly and their epigenetic changes get re conscripted quickly. It seems like yours didn’t re-write afterward.”So there we have it for my theory for my specific case. I’ve been having success with-vit c-methylfolate-omega 3-mac glycinate-calcium agt-p5pThat’s the acetylation stack and it’s proven to help things. going to try adding in the histone stack soon to round out the building blocks for my brain and body to make changes and see if I can see more progress.I’m working with a DVD-R and not a DVD-RW system. Also i referenced the struggles i had with glucocorticoid drugs and my genetic makeup on the GC/GR system and it’s pretty dysfunctional so it makes a bit of sense that these would effect me so severely Edited May 30May 30 by Talltreescoldseas —2018(ish) 5htp 100mg/day2024 dec 1st: *unknowingly cold turkey 5htp*—2025 jan 1st: strange and slightly uncomfortable symptoms appearance—2025 jan 25th: 50mg prednisone -3 days -brutal adverse reaction to prednisone—2025 jan-May: literal hell on earth symptoms. Also i referenced the struggles i had with glucocorticoid drugs and my genetic makeup on the GC/GR system and it’s pretty dysfunctional so it makes a bit of sense that these would effect me so severelyI wish I didn't have absolute brain fog and that I could understand this. Maybe one day. 🤣🤣🤣 I am not a medical professional. My comments are based on my personal experience and information on SA. It’s interesting, how did you do that? So that came from a program called “genetic lifehacks” it was basically the cheapest way to get my dna data (which i downloaded from one of those ancestry sites. I sequenced it many years ago and they always allow you to download your genetic data) then you run it through another program to actually show your specific mutations and alleles in an easy to read way. I think it’s helpful for just about everyone to be honest. How does it work? The initial test (ancestry.com, 22andme, etc) is just a simple cheek swab that you mail inOnce the do the dna test you get sent a link to check out your geneology and etc on their site. Then you can also download the raw genetics data and just upload that to the other site. Super easy. 12 hours ago, poulette38 said:Please @Talltreescoldseas , be very carefull !Don’t go out in the hot weather! Work or not. I had sunstroke last summer, I almost died! 🥵 Heat is life.
