@nothingbutlia depends on the strength of the solution. I have 20mg/ml solution. I dilute 0.1ml with 0.9ml water to make a 2mg/ml solution. I then take 0.5ml which = 1mg. I also have a compounded 0.2mg/ml solution which I use when making micrograms changes to dosage

1996 Commenced on Sertraline 50 - 100mg. Many ADs trialled -Fluoxetine 20 mg, Paroxetine 20mg, Venlafaxine 75mg, Escitalopram 10 - 20mg, Vortioxetine 20mg, Bupropion 150mg.  2019 Recommenced Escitalopram 2022 Mirtazapine 30mg - Rapid taper. Amitriptyline 20mg

CURRENT MEDICATIONS: Escitalopram taper from ~ 10mg commenced 2024, Amitriptyline 20mg at night, Diazepam 7.5mg total per day, Baclofen 10mg morning, 10mg lunch and 20mg night, Polaramine 2mg at night, Ketamine troche 25mg per day (Ceased early September 2025), Valsartan 160mg evening, HRT (Oestrogen 25mcg/day) 

ESCITALOPRAM TAPER: 5 April 2025 - started holding at 1.516mg. Escitalopram taper resumed July 2025; End Aug 1.364; End Sept 1.228; End Oct 1.145; End Nov 1.1 Early Dec 1.11; End Dec 1.082; 2026 End Jan 1.047; Feb 6 1.030; Feb 20 1.014; April 10 1.012; May 3 1.014; May 11 1.010 & still holding

Supplements: Mg++ glycinate, Omega 3s, Curcumin. Vit D3/K2 spray, Vitamin B12 spray, chelated zinc.

Hello @Catbird and thank you! And do you wait a Bit or does it dissolve immediately in the water? I am so confused

2016- escitalopram (lexapro) 10mg, for 6 months because of depression. Stopped cold turkey. Helped me a lot. All good.

2020- escitalopram (lexapro) 10mg, for 3 years because of panic attacks/agoraphobia

2023- tapered to 5 mg and was doing 5/2,5/5 and so on through out the years

december 2025- forgot the pills for 2 weeks and was very proud. Felt withdrawal symptoms like dizziness a bit; and nausea

 

march 2026- felt very anxious and bad, in awful waves during the day (sometimes good, sometimes bad), terrible dread

 

(10.3) RI- 0,25mg (not much better)

(14.3) RI- 0,5mg (felt better? But not good enough)

(21.3) RI gradually 0,6, then 0,7, then 0,8, then 0,9 (every 5days). Was feeling almost very good at 0,9, but had still some very intrusive thoughts

16.4 stabilised at 1mg, feel good and stable (currently)

@nothingbutlia I use the 20mg/ml Lexapro liquid preparation - so it's already in a stable liquid form. I am not sure where you live. I'm in Australia. There may be a compounding pharmacy near you that can make a liquid form, but it can end up being quite expensive - depending on how long it remains stable. the Lexapro brand solution is stable for a long time.

Im not sure what you have been doing to make your dose so far. Could you explain?

Standard procedure for 1mg drop would be to put it into 20ml of water so each 2ml of the solution would be 0.1mgai.

So if you wanted to take 1.1mgai you could take two drops and put it into 40ml liquid and take 22ml of the solution for 1.1mgai.

You could also remove 18ml of this solution and take the remaining and this would be the same dose 1.1mgai. I’d always stick to the same method for consistency though.

You just make sure the liquid is well stirred.

Are you planning on updosing further then? How are you atm?
