Got you, well it might be worth sticking with the brand if this swap is causing you issues IMO. I have seen some react very badly to the generic, not all, but it happens.

Thanks for the help. I’m not sure if I should go back and take 25/75 or just the brand viibryd.

Started taking antidepressents for OCD when I was in 8th grade. Took anafranil during this time. Was off meds for most of High-school started taking: Prozac (senior year)

Effexor, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Zoloft, Pristiq

(Lost track of the rest of the meds I was on. I was put a lot of different antidepressents from age 19-25 and I can't remember them all.

Tapered off Pristiq over a 4 month period in Fall of 2013. This triggered Withdrawel Syndrome which I slowly recovered from over some years.

I am currently still taking:

Buspar 5mg,

Gabapentin 255 mg, and

Viibryd 10mg. I plan on tapering remaining meds.

Totally your call. Might be best to ease back rather than go direct back. There is no right answer unfortunately.

Took an epsom salt that seemed to help some. Don’t think I can overdose on that. I also have .5mg lorazepam if I need that. I don’t take it normally.

The baths a good idea. I’d avoid the benzo. Adding more psych drugs to a destabilised nervous system is like putting fuel on the fire. Best to not go there imo.

Sorry to hear. Awful the suffering these drugs can cause. Glad the Epsom Salt Bath helped. Hope things settle down. Let us know how you go.

Are you able to think of some other natural tools to manage this?

A huge part of dealing with this, and I know it isn't going to make sense at first, is mind set. Acceptance and distraction are so important. Acceptance removes the resisitance, resistance is where the suffering is. It isn't about being ok with it, it is simply about turning the volume down, removing the attention you give your symptoms. Distraction and routine also huge players IMO too.

Acceptance is key - Why does acceptance feel impossible?

I would take a read of this too, might be helpful Being a human, and dealing with emotions in WD

Some other non drug techniques and also more about acceptance can be found in the Symptoms and coping strategies section.

Just making sure. I can cut viibryd 2 to 3 times if needed? I’ve been cutting it doing this switch over and have a bunch of small pieces I need to use.

Good, so you weigh the dose rather than eye ball it?

When cutting a pill, due to variations in weight from pill to pill, we suggest weighing 10 pills and then dividing that weight by 10 to give an average pill weight. This becomes your pill weight going foward for that brand.

That’s good. Hopefully if you do it slower your body will adapt. Shame you cant stay on the brand version really. Glad you are getting some help from Outro.

Seem to be having a harder day again today. I’ve been back on the 1/4 new and 3/4 old for about 5 to 6 days. I’m assuming that this is normal while things resettle again? Planning on holding here for a couple weeks or more. Thanks

when I weighed it out the generic most of them weighed about 103. So that what I went with. One was way off like 114, so I didn’t go off that one. Could it be that I should have included that one?

I would just stick to an average weight. We suggest the way to find this is to weigh 10 tablets and divide by 10.
