May 17May 17 Author I need to keep taking certain things and vitamins like I’ve been taking prior to the switch over. Natto, bromelan, (for long covid) vitamin c, omega 3s, creatine. Usually I tolerate all these well. Seeing what you think about taking them while things stabilize? Started taking antidepressents for OCD when I was in 8th grade. Took anafranil during this time. Was off meds for most of High-school started taking: Prozac (senior year)Effexor, Wellbutrin, Lexapro, Zoloft, Pristiq(Lost track of the rest of the meds I was on. I was put a lot of different antidepressents from age 19-25 and I can't remember them all.Tapered off Pristiq over a 4 month period in Fall of 2013. This triggered Withdrawel Syndrome which I slowly recovered from over some years.I am currently still taking:Buspar 5mg,Gabapentin 255 mg, andViibryd 10mg. I plan on tapering remaining meds.

If you wanted to stop any of these things, that your body is used to taking, in the future, I’d reduce one at a time rather than stop any of them cold turkey. I think it unlikely your having issues with that and the crossover at the same time. 35 minutes ago, DCod said:I also am wondering if this is real hard bc I have long covid. I’m suspicious it’s caused some of my worsening. I think the main thing is we don’t know and it’s best to try to accept. I know 10-11 days weeks a long time but it can take time for things to settle down once the nervous system is upset. I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. May 28May 28 Author Symptoms are settling some. There not as intense but, I’m still doing the 3/4old1/4 new, which over been doing for 18 days and I found viibryd and am going to stockpile for the future so I don’t need to switch now. So switch back then is what u think? Edited May 28May 28 by DCod Started taking antidepressents for OCD when I was in 8th grade. Took anafranil during this time. May 28May 28 Author I wouldn’t think I would need symptoms to completely settle before I switch back to the original viibryd. I’ve been at this for almost a month and had to stop the 50/50 4 days in and go back a step which is where I’m at. I’m concerned if I’m switching back before I’ve completely settled at this spot. Could that destabilize me more? Maybe that doesn’t matter as much bc my body was originally used to the brand? Started taking antidepressents for OCD when I was in 8th grade. May 29May 29 @DCod It is completely your call. I actually think if you are starting to stablise at this point perhaps consider hanging here for a minute and then continue your crossover, if that is ultimately what you want/need to do. I don't think you need to wait to stablise to move back, the only reason to move back is if you don't think you will/can stablise to the new drug imo. May 29May 29 Author I was able to get 60 tablets of viibryd to stockpile and I can continue (hopefully) getting my script filled for now. I’m gonna slowly add to the 60 so I can hold for 4-6 weeks at each stage in the future. but I don’t need to do the crossover at this point cause I can get the med. so I’m gonna switch back. May 30May 30 Author I’m a little concerned if my nervous system will just perceive it as another change? I changed back to the original brand tho am. Just feeling a bit nervous about. Wild I know!I have seen some have troubles and switch back, those are normally people moving from tablet to liquid who have already sensitive nervous systems. I have also seem alot of people try to hard switch and have real issues doing so. You are not alone.Hopefully now you have switched back things will settle down. I would not worry if things are bumpy still for a bit. I would treat this switch back like a 'cut' and hold and wait to stablise. I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. May 30May 30 Author I was having issues finding viibryd brand. I’m concerned it I’m going to be able to exercise Intensely while I taper. What’s the gerneral consensus on this?Hey @DCod. My understanding is that it just depends on the person. Some people find that intense exercise makes them worse, and some have physical symptoms that prevent them from exercising to one extent or another. Others are able to stay very active throughout. I’m also a pretty active person — I do a lot of rock climbing and weight training, and I cycle and hike with our dogs. So far I’ve mostly been able to keep up with these activities. I’ve had the odd day here or there where I’ve had a migraine or something and had to skip a workout, but that’s about it (knock wood). I definitely haven’t found that intense exercise has any negative impacts for me.Hope that helps. I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice.
