In withdrawal, there is so much I just cannot view. It is truly incredible the amount of harm these neuro-toxins cause either while stuck in a chemical dependence to them, developing a tolerance to them, and withdrawal (neurological dysregulation) from them. Angie Peacock talks about this in a lot of her YT videos: hypersensitivity to topics you normally are just fine with.Coincidentally, I watched the Jordan Peterson and his daughter interview video on Dr Josef’s YT channel while I was extremely sick in w/d from 100mg→50mg Desvenlafaxine this past in January (25mg isn’t avalaible in Canada to do 75mg + too risky to get 25mg filled in the USA, and most importantly: I was too tired (side effect of the Desvenlafaxine for many many many yrs & all of the other neurotransmitter dysregulators) to get it compounded up here for a hyperbolic taper + needed to reduce it down to 50mg immediately.I agree with you that our bodies (all systems in our body) are literally designed to heal (ie: return to homeostasis); especially from these neuro-toxins. I apologize to my body regularly every day on behalf of the former Private Practice Psychiatry, Health Authority Psychiatrists, and the original GP who I still see at the Medical Clinic. Too many, really.

April 25Apr 25 I watched this a week ago. She explains it really well and has some good links for research on the dangers of these drugs. Mirtazapine Recommended by doctor due to severe ear pain. Was on 30 mg from September 2021 to February 2022. Suffered severe bad reaction of akathisia with pacing and emotional deadness. Tapered from 30mg going down 7.5mg every 2 weeks until last 7.5mg tapered 2.5mg every 2 weeks. Yeah it was fast but I just had to get off this stuff. Completely off from April 2022. Feeling hugely better but still have weird feeling, muscle aches and tiredness.
April 25Apr 25 While I've not always agreed on his views, I feel for her and the family. Like people were throwing rocks at an already injured family. IMO I think his immune system, nervous system, and neurological functions were compromised from the big event life stressors, the passing of the family members, (and did she say, his wife passing from cancer?). And the mould exposure just sent things over the edge.I got a bit anxious too, watching this. That even after healing, what if....? ya know? I had to take a break for a bit and ask for a great big bear hug from my brother. But then Chippy made that monkey-brain comment. And it made me think, we literally would not be here if human beings did not know how to adapt, survive and heal. One of our greatest strengths. A superpower that I don't think we'll ever understand is mysteries. But healing does not required we understand it, it just happens whether we believe it will or not.And he's right, mental health survivor or not, there are no guarantees in life. We can't cocoon ourselves for the rest of our lives. Whatever comes after, once you get through it, you can again. No matter how many panic attacks I've had, despite knowing how to deal with them, they always feel brand new, in those first few seconds. Eventually, muscle memory kicks in and reminds me, we've been here before, here are the files to deal with it, here is reframing, here are the falsehoods, here is the truth. I latch on and get through it.Pain and fear are inescapable parts of life. But suffering is a choice that can be changed with support and practice. The blows dealt from life can be made gentler or tolerable, but never avoided. The good news is the awareness that is happening right now, so that quicker recognition and better advocacy can happen before "fixes" are made that make things worse. And we need to continue that advocacy, for ourselves and others. We might be more sensitive to big stressors, but they are sometimes unavoidable. We have this North American view that we have to tough things out. I'll catch up on the weekend. etc. This would be a lot for anyone to deal with, neurological injury or not. We have to start practicing compassion and healthy self-care for each other. Let people nap, slow down, take time out, and ground themselves. Cry, scream, grieve in safe spaces. Give people a safe haven and a soft landing to deal with stressors like this or any stress for that matter. And let them take as much time as it takes to process it. I don't think this should be only for those who have sensitive nervous systems, but for everyone. Because depression, anxiety, mental breakdown, etc., can hit anyone, there is no discrimination. We have to become a balancing rock bridge, all taking on equal weight, as we hold the arch upright. And if one has to step away and can't hold their weight, we shift and redistribute the weight, and wait patiently with unconditional love and understanding until they are ready to rejoin. I believe the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child", extends to adults and all people as well. I think it's how we get through anything.
