January 23Jan 23 Hi I wanted to join this site so I can eventually one day post my recovery story. it feels unfair that SA is closing and I won’t get to do this, I really want to have my moment one day!!! Im Now at 11.5 months off my Prozac and my journey is documented on SA under the same username just without the dash’s between the words. Here is a link to Rosies Page :) windows and waves are ongoing, I think 🤔 my waves have been less intense since mid November but I need to give it more time to be sure, but certainly December and so far January have been much better months for me. I say this today whilst in a wave that started yesterday, which is of course upsetting. since my last SA update I’ve started working 1.5 hours a day at a school helping at lunchtime, it feels OK and positive for my brain to be in a routine. Some days it’s felt a little busy and yesterday whilst in my wave it did feel hard, but I think it’s going to be good for me and I plan to continue. my main Symtoms are currently - anxiety that can at times feel like I’m about to go totally crazy and burst out of my skin. I get this feeling less, but it’s still there in a wave and nothing seems to influence it - racing and intrusive thoughts that are dark and morbid in nature - occasionally weeping spells. - occasionally panic at night and associated poor sleep symptoms that have gone - intense sadness with relentless crying - intense brain fog - dizziness - visual snow - total insomnia or very little sleep, unusually get at least 4 hours an night and it’s mostly 6/7. - nausea - inability to be excited or plan or even think about anything other than just getting through the day - inability to cook or think about food due to the nausea - intense intrusive thoughts all day long with passive SI - weird energy surges through my body and just feeling weird like I had something round my next or something round my waist I really can’t describe it! - obsessive googling and finding cures etc and obsessive talking about my Symtoms and WD - feeling woozy and weird with some mild DPDR - heart palpitations but I never had severe pots or anything I’ve always been able to walk around etc i think that’s about it. Bleugh just writing those out has given me anxiety! so I’ll say goodbye for now but plan to come back for monthly updates. God bless Rosie - Compazine injury following surgery used as an anti nausea drug Feb 2023, led to agitation and racing thoughts - tried to cope med free, advised to start Prozac May 2023 20mg - made me worse but was told to persevere, believe I had an adverse reaction. - decided to taper after 6 months of use at 20mg. Went down over 14/15 months to 1.5mg. - February 2025 came off 1.5mg due to feeling good and didn’t know this would lead to such strong WD

January 24Jan 24 Hey we spoke to each other before too! I'm at 11 months too and in a wave 😞 I've read so many stories, I feel like in both our cases 18-24 months is probably our timeline to fully heal. I'm very optimistic. I hope you heal even sooner though. Just hold on a little longer. -
January 24Jan 24 Author Thankyou all. @iwillsurvive I tried to message you but can’t work out how! it’s good to talk to others around the same timeframe especially if they are in a similar boat. January is very dark and miserable in the UK so I don’t think that helps us here much. There’s a collective flatness in the whole country which I’m sure adds to things!! hoping to do a positive 12 month update but we’ll see what the next 1.5 weeks bring! God bless Rosie Hi @Its-me-Rosie Lovely to hear that you are getting better, even if not 100% it seems that quite a few of your symptoms are fading and that is very encouraging however so sorry that waving now, hopefully it won't stay for long. I'm not sure if you meant anxiety in writing your symptoms or anxiety writing in general but I do get the anxiety writing in general, it's been very intense for me lately which makes it difficult to be more active and supportive here but I'm trying to break the intensity by writing now. Also congrats for going back to work, it's a huge step even if for a small amount of time, be very proud of that. Wishing you brighter days very soon. January 25Jan 25 Author @Fullhealing I meant anxiety just going over everything I’ve been through. i feel quite traumatised at this stage, im hoping this eases as I heal! but anxiety is my main symptom so to be honest in a wave literally anything can make my anxious…I’m a window there’s far more resilience. @NT1100B I hope your wave ends soon. January 30Jan 30 Author Hi all, I haven’t been on here much I admit since you started the page and there’s some old info on SA for Keto diets. but I’d love to start a more relevant up to date topic about diets. I’ve tried keto before but it was last summer and I just felt too unwell to do it really and keep it up. I’m now at a point where I’d like to try low carb at the very least and would love to know anyone’s thoughts on this. or to see if anyone has any experience… Meal suggestions welcome!! feeling a bit stuck at the moment. Know I’ve made good progress and know the antidote is time, but I’d like to clean my diet up a bit to see if this helps. I’m mostly healthy but I do eat quite a lot of carbs in the form of potatoes and brown bread. any comments gratefully received. February 2Feb 2 Author Thanks @Chippy yes that makes sense. Angie has oddly just released a video about Keto this weekend so I plan to watch it today! i need some help and reassurance today. im almost 2 weeks in to wave that has just slowly gotten worse and worse. it started out with mild anxiety and some old Symtoms coming back like a bad tummy. It’s progressed and im now so agitated with lots of loping intrusive thoughts. I haven’t had this since late October/early November and im feeling scared and very upset. I really thought these intense Symtoms had passed and I was in a pattern of more mild waves that were bearable, hard, but bearable. i feel like I want to crawl out of my skin again today, I haven’t missed this feeling 😢 im approaching 12 months off. Since month 10 I’ve been on a mission to stop doom scrolling, to talk less about my Symptoms, to stop focusing on my Symptoms so much and to just try and live my life and take the symptoms along with me. It seemed to help and things really improved for me in November when I felt like I turned a corner. I am hoping this is just a particularly nasty wave that will lead to more healing, as my last horrific wave in November did seem to lead to more healing….. I guess I’m just posting to feel less alone as today is feeling very hard. I started my new job early January working 1.5 hours a day at a school, I’m determined to keep going in as I think routine is good for me. Not much else to report. I did eat curry this weekend and was doing a bit better Saturday and ate it Saturday night and I’m wondering if even that could be a trigger!! Bleughhh hate this stupid WD. any words of hope grateful received today! February 2Feb 2 Hey @Its-me-Rosie I just thought I’d stop by and offer you some encouragement! I’m so sorry you’re struggling so much at the moment but things will get better. I’m 16 months in, I’ve just come out of a wave feeling better than at any time since this started so anything is possible. You’re the best part of a year into this and drug free, you’re doing great. Just keep going, one day at a time and you’ll come out of this wave, it will happen! Just remind yourself when you’re feeling low that it’s all temporary, better days are ahead! Take care, Nick March 2024 Mirtazapine 15mg x 4 doses. Adverse reaction. 3 day break. March 2024 Sertraline 50mg x 7 doses. Adverse reaction. August and September 2024. Diazepam 5mg x 3 daily for 6 weeks. These doses varied from 15 to 5mg daily until the last week where I was tapered from 10mg to 0 in 6 days. Zopiclone daily. I would say I was on 7.5mg for 3 weeks and 3.75mg for 4 weeks.

I have been in a horrific state this morning, only just 🤞lifting a bit now but it's been one of the worst this morning. Yesterday I lifted to a 5, then back to a living hell with a sleep reset. So you are doing everything right Rosie, so I am praying that it will very soon pass for you, back into a big long window. please stay strong and safe. February 2Feb 2 Author Thanks you so much everyone im a bit teary reading these replies and so grateful for the hope and kind hearts. @Catbird I hope you are ok. I appreciate that so much and @NBJ71i really appreciate you being a bit ahead of me and giving me some encouragement. do you feel your wave just led to more healing? Sounds like it maybe did!! I’m so pleased you shared that, I’ve read it before and felt it myself but when you are in a wave you need someone rational to remind you. Appreciate it. Are you getting more windows at 16 months off?? i am thinking after watching Angie’s video today of going low carb but not KETO. I don’t think I can cope with the KETO flu and I also know I’ve had good windows not being KETO, so I’m hoping with some diet modification I can help my body along a bit 🙏 This wave is brutal!!! Does it just seem so much worse @Chippy @NT1100B because we’ve had better days or better moments. I really thought this was lifting on Saturday as I had a good free hours afternoon in to evening then 💥 It’s just the agitation/chemical anxiety that makes you want to jump out of your skin. It’s SOOOO uncomfortable and nothing relieves it I really pray this means more healing is happening ♥️ I will hold on to that hope. @NT1100Band @skamenI hope our waves pass soon. @NT1100B your attitude is an inspiration to me, thank you for that. You know it does mean a lot on a day like today: this wave could lift at any moment as this has happened to be before. I fall in to the trap of thinking every wave will last forever but they always lift….even if it feels like they won’t. i need to not let me brain trick me otherwise. healing is happening ♥️ x - Compazine injury following surgery used as an anti nausea drug Feb 2023, led to agitation and racing thoughts - tried to cope med free, advised to start Prozac May 2023 20mg - made me worse but was told to persevere, believe I had an adverse reaction. - decided to taper after 6 months of use at 20mg. Went down over 14/15 months to 1.5mg. - February 2025 came off 1.5mg due to feeling good and didn’t know this would lead to such strong WD
