@ChippyI bought one of those when I first started tapering. It wasn’t accurate enough. I used the calibration weights, and it came out with different numbers each time. So I didn’t dare using it and dumped it. I read that lic use another one. Perhaps
@LostinCanadaaddwise on which to buy?

And I agree. The way I am cutting atm is not precise enough. Until further I’ll go back to the liquid solution 15mg in 15 ml, as that is very precise. I’ll just switch the one 6,9 dose and see how it goes, and then the next. I’ll wait with the 7,5mg as that is close enough atm.

Everything looks great @Haa I am 65 and wonder as well if I will ever get off...I just keep thinking, less of the drug is better so every drop is a win... What a journey we all have taken...

Yeah some have issues with them. Ours are fine. I find I need to put the weight on the scale with the pill to 'load it' and get the scales in a better operating range. There are better scales out there if you are happy to spend on them.

I would get that dose sorted asap though, even cutting a pill in half isn't accurate enough.

Here are a couple of more expensive options:

A&D EJ-54D2 Dual Range - 22g x 0.0002g / 52g x 0.001g Compact Balance

U.S. Solid 0.1mg Analytical Balance, 100g x 0.1mg, 0.0001g Lab Science Electronic Balance

I agree @Chippy
@LostinCanada I saw at some point that you told which scale you use. Will you post it again? I remember it was quite expensive, but as I look in to many years of tapering, it might be worthwhile to buy it. 🙏💕💕

If it helps I think it’s one of the two above. Those are taken from our diy dose guide, which LIC wrote.

Update 21 April 8am

I am doing ok. Some small and short periods of sympathetic activation during the day and evening. It is as it is, and I am not giving it much attention. Kind of just noting it, and keep on doing, what I am doing. A single sleep deprivation night. So I feel lucky.

I am reducing oxapax by taking half the dosis as liquid and half as tbl. I haven’t had any troubles doing so. And I am still taking baby steps.

@Chippy I tried to update my signature. It wasn’t possible as I got the message that my signature didn’t meets the required standards.

Can you advise me on how to make it possible?

I reduced oxapax to 6,8x2+7,5mg 14 April.

Thanks in advance 🙏💕

Sounds like all is going well. 😀

Did you start your Sertraline taper or just still holding that for the minute?

I've have updated your signature with your benzo reduction. Not sure what the problem was, might have been a one off.

Pleasure Haa!

Sounds good. Glad it is helping. I would try to keep your doses, fairly balanced across the day (as you have been doing so far), because you are tapering, you don't want to get interdose WD.

Happy things are going so well for you, 😀

Update 10.30pm

My microtaper is going really well. No WD at all.

Today a read @RachelSusan ’s tread and that was spot on to my own concerns. The accumulation of WD. I now think this was most likely, what happened last fall while tapering Oxapax.

With this new knowledge, I have decided to hold a month after this month’s tapering, before resuming tapering.

Then see how it goes, and then later, I’ll hold even longer.

While tapering Oxapax, I didn’t take any longer holds.

Right now I am enjoying be me, like I was before all this started. And I hope by taking longer holds, I can keep it this way. Thank you all for charing your knowledge. It’s what give us a chance to do better this time. 🙏💕💕

With this new knowledge, I have decided to hold a month after this month’s tapering, before resuming tapering.

Good to cautious 👍

Right now I am enjoying be me, like I was before all this started. And I hope by taking longer holds, I can keep it this way.

I hope so too Haa. Really happy to read.

@Chippy

Oh. I was too fast to celebrate the succes with microtapering. Well not as metode and good I did it this way.

Since I wrote last night I have had nausea and diarrhea. I think it could be because of the tapering.

I did catch a cold / and was running a fever last week, but it didn’t seem to effect my taper.

So now I think, I should pause tapering/ or should I take a step up, and see how it goes?

What do you think Chippy

Hey @Haa

Sorry to hear.

I think it makes perfect sense to pause for a couple of days and let things settle down. Hopefully it’s more related to the cold leaving your system but it makes sense to be cautious!

@Thanks @Chippy. I’ll do that. I might be overreacting, but last falls episode still feels scary. So I’ll slow down. 🙏💕

😢

11/05/26 After the infection has cleared and only a slight cough remains, the nausea has only increased. I become so sad at the prospect that, with a taper of 0.06 mg/day for 10 days from 24/04, I am so troubled by nausea. I cannot see how I will be able to taper down even to 75 mg, which is a manageable dose. The fatigue has also returned and the sadness has crept in. Right now I feel stuck on a dose that no one in the healthcare system would be able to respect or manage.

I did not tolerate the high dose of 100 mg sertraline and it had no effect on the crash I had in November. Therefore it felt natural to go back to 75 mg. But apparently I cannot tolerate tapering without being tormented by nausea, fatigue and sadness. It feels hopeless.

I have paused the taper since May 3 and the nausea has only increased.

I am inclined to increase the dose again, even though I know there is no guarantee of relief.

I am sorry to pure all this out on you. I know I am weaning, and so many here are struggling much more.

I pray that this soon will subside, but atm I have lost faith.
