Hey @Finni just catching up with your thread. I am very sorry to hear how you are! x It just keeps amazing how unpredictable all this is. A tiny fraction of your dose taken 45 mins early causes all this. Its wild. Your nervous system must be so very sensitive atm. Which we know, but it shows how sensitive it is. I agree with LIC best course of action is as you have done, return to the previous times. Hope this settles soon for you. You really deserve a break from all this now. xxxxx

It seems my body reacted more strongly to shifting 2 mg than it did to trying to reduce .0002 g

So sorry at the severe symptoms you have Finni. I had that kind of akathasia and pacing and unable to sit still and it was horrible. You seem to have a very bad reaction to Mirt like some of us have. I would look at getting a different opinion on tapering. This super slow method may not be best for people having such severe reactions.

No pacing is good. I still get that occasionally when under stress. The body is looking for outlets to burn off the adrenaline.

Do you have a treadmill? I bought one at the beginning of this and best purchase ever. I can walk and walk and walk ... burning it all off. I just keep an easy pace...

Hindsight is 20/20.

Sometimes it's hard to objectively see the progress.

I really messed myself up taking that methylated B12 thinking it would be so helpful.

Maybe setting a goal of holding for 3 months, no changes. I also find that I don't like to reinforce the symptoms by writing them down or giving them a voice. I just keep a spreadsheet with the symptoms, rate them 1-10 and that's it...no other words. Doesn't mean you can't rant once in awhile or do an update but I have found, for me, that works. ❤️🙏

Yesterday was eerily calm lol but I had a weird drugged, nervous feeling.

I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop, unfortunately. I don’t think I’m just being paranoid. I think I’ve learned what my body does after a disruption.

It’s as if each disruption brings more strongly powered symptoms, including the adverse effects of mirt. And I thought they couldn’t get any stronger.

Why didn’t it register in my brain that trying a split would be another disruption? I guess because Dr. Horowitz, Adele Framer and even my vestibular neurologist all mentioned it as this wonderful idea. And on paper, it is such a wonderful idea!

Something that had gone away before the split trial was the terror. It’s lurking and keeps trying to come on strong. It’s harrowing and lasted for weeks after the last disruption. I hope I get off easy this time.

I've had symptoms lurk and hint for a while but never fully come on so hoping it ends up being something similar for you.

Lets not assume it will, lets assume it won't. I have it crossed as this is such a small change the distruption will be small too.

You can't blame yourself, you are just doing your best making decisions as you see fit at the time, there is no crystal ball Finni. You have had things improve after set backs, it will again. Like I said, maybe this will be not too much of one.

Yes, I do 🙂

I took an average of 10 of the 15 mg pill weight and then reduced by weight of the pill.

My 15 mg mirtazapine tablets have an average pill weight of .1040 g

And now I’m on .1026 g and that’s equal to 14.79 mg

I see....thanks! Is the active ingredient universally spread throughout the pill?
