Sending some love @Finni I think LICs idea of crossing over to the new batch is a VERY good one. Make the choice about splitting once you are on the new batch. One step at a time. xxxx

I took 4th dose of new batch last night. I don’t know if another change right now is the thing to do or not. Taking half-and-half would be another change.

But if it’s what I need to do to unplug the extra “voltage,”

I will.

Two hours after my dose last night, the pressure ramped to an extreme degree to the point of waking me. So much head and body pressure and pounding. It’s still going now 6 hours later.

I just have to decide if I’m going to take 2 mg or 3 mg an hour earlier.

Dr. Horowitz had mentioned 3 mg and Adele Framer mentioned 2 mg

I doubt there’s a magic amount @Finni. In your shoes, I think when in doubt I would always go with the smaller change.

2 days ago diabolical thrashing screaming electric torture that climbed all day

Today drilling pain into top of head and deepest scariest vibrations ever

Locked on snd climbing by the hour since 9:00 am

Vestibular continues to feel like waves are lifting me over and over if I stand still

@Finni It will be interesting to see how your acute reaction will look like. Will your acute symthoms also be "split" into halves or not? If your reaction will be similar anytime you take any dose, then everything could be in some degree related to ingesting the pill by itself, right? Please pay attention to it and do some reporting after your first day of this trial. Does it makes sense?

So back before the change in July, I was doing this alternating experience, but just not on this level. Feeling totally fogged over and almost sick one day and then the next day feeling “cold turkey”

This is beyond anything, though.

We never signed up for this.

I really wish Daniel Cohrs, a California based researcher and psychiatrist who has had a horrible experience on Mirtazapine, would get back with me.

He was kind enough to answer an email, talk to me on the phone, and then respond to another email.

He told me to text anytime but he doesn’t respond to my texts so I’m not going to keep trying. He hasn’t responded to my latest email either.

But I know that for him, he’s so sensitized to mirtazapine that he needs to eat his evening meal the same number of hours every night before he takes it.

I’m keeping that in my awareness as I have these drastic drop offs like I’ve gone cold turkey/ that the medication isn’t working at all.

I have follow up questions for him!

The last thing he said to me was that I might actually have to increase mirtazapine 😳 to stabilize if I wasn’t better in another month (I talked to him in July or August)

I wish I could tell him about these latest reactions.

Hope he does eventually answer you. Very interesting you would increase to stabilize when sensitive. Paradoxical.

I’m thinking he must not have been having these paradoxical, akasthisia like reactions. I would love to know!

He was in a bad spot and now he’s functioning normally. Just super careful with his dose timing in relation to food. There haven’t been many studies done on mirtazapine and food regarding absorption, but from what I read, food isn’t supposed to affect mirtazapine that much.

Flavor of the day:

Floaty, bouncy, hazy, sick ish with big peak of deep spreading electric/ barbed wire feeling in back and low grade terror around noon-2:30 ish

Peaking again now at 4:45 pm

Over the top vestibular now like a carnival ride

I still haven’t made any changes since the new dose. Trying to hang on to watch this new pattern and see what it does.

(New pattern of worsening in late afternoon and through evening)

I’ve had stretches of feeling like myself despite the strange constant vestibular sensations.

Enjoyed NYT games, walked to mailbox, took shower

Have enjoyed breakfast, lunch, late afternoon snack

Yesterday Around 5:30 pm felt like mirt level dropped

Head clearer as evening went on but uncomfortable with terror surges, burning and barbed wire feelings

Took dose 9:15 pm

Fell asleep

Awakened at 11:20 pm with pressure in body

Woke several times with pressurized head and body

Now 6:40 am

Feel very activated , what I’ve described as cold turkey

Alarm bells going off, deep burning, electricity, terror, agonizing feeling of something going to take me out

Electricity coursing fast through torso, arms, hands

Have you ever heard of extreme vacillations like this between floaty, sick activation and then straight up cold turkey like activation the next day and then it alternating back-and-forth?

It’s so intense.

I’ve had this pattern for a while and it’s kind of comforting to see it come back, but now the extremes are off the chart.

@Finni I am so sorry to hear things are so changeable for you at the moment, WD is so unpredictable and everyone is so different in my experience. You were having some better days and this is great, I hope they come back for you soon those better days but stronger. You deserve it so much.xxxxx

Ramping twisting terror and deep rumbling head with nausea - locked on like someone flipped a switch.

Could be both though I really hope it's just an adjustment period and time will do it's thing for both of us.

You've been going through this agony for too long @Finni I'm so very sorry but keep hope alive, however long it takes you'll eventually get off completely and your system will slowly rebalance.

Healing, adjusting to the dose, your body is doing this constantly everyday, the changing symptoms are proof of this. Just one day my friend. That is all you need to think about. xxxx

I’ve said before that the word kindling is really scary and you said not to let that word scare me. But now you’re combining it with injury, which seems much more scary.

I am sorry Finni I didn't mean to scare you and I have forgotten you had said this before. Don't be scared, you are healing and moving forwards every day even when it doesn't feel like it.
