No its 0.5mg in morning and 0.5mg in evening but to reduce it i made my math which is take 0.5 whole in morning and take 0.25 in evening and half of another 0.25 in evening which doctor also prescribed same but it only makes 0.875 mg which is 12% reduction so i thought if i take 0.25 and shave it off little bit so i get between 5 to 10% reduction

So can you confirm two things for me and I will work the rest out.

1. Each pill is 0.5mg?

2. The total weight in grams of 10 pills?

Reading your post again, I can see your doctor gave you some 0.25mg tablets to help you taper. Ignore those. Lets just work with your 0.5mg tablets for consitency.

So weigh 10 x 0.5mg pills and let me know the weight in grams 🙂

Yes I think you may make it work with milk. I’ve not had anyone do it but the maudsley guidelines say you can. They do say water works too. I’m not 100% convinced of either tbh.

Can you not get gem-20 scales on the internet. I think you could if you have a search for them? I was under the impression you had some scales already?

@juvieriya

I like the video.

Yeah it’s the same as putting maple syrup in, it thickens it.

Milk (full fat) is recommended for benzos as the fat absorbs some of the drug.

If getting scales is hard this will work fine.

Just take 10% off and see how you are after two weeks.

@juvieriya If you have any more questions about how to make this 10% reduction make sure you ask here we are happy to help 🙂

Just to confirm I would make the reduction now, wait 14 days and if you seem to tolerate this ok, we should look to make a further reduction.

You might wish to do a transition taper to get you onto the liquid before making any reductions. Information about how to that is in this document.

If u could help with milk taper..how much milk i need to take for 0.5 mg and how much to discard

Ok

Well you can take different amounts and do it in different ways. The more milk the better, I suspect the tablet will be absorbed into the milk better.

How much milk are you prepared to use each day to make the 2 doses in total? Is 300ml too much? As you taper you will need to dispose of more and more of it. Does that make sense? 150ml is this ok for you? It needs to be full fat.

Let me know the total amount of milk per day for both doses you would like to use in this taper and I will work it all out for you.

I would advise you taper both at the same time like Dr Josef has said. It is better to do this. The other way is to reduce one by 10%, then the other by 10% and then go back to the first one and reduce that one by 10% and so on......

150ml milk is perfect.

To be clear it is really important that you taper them at the same time. Either all at once or in a tag style as I describe above. Dosing once a day or not consistently will lead to interdose WD.

Like how..both time i use milk 150 ml twice..but can i take odt tablet in night and for morning i used liquid taper

1 mg clonazepam for 2 months

This is how you should do it:

-Crush 2 x 0.5mg pills (Total 1mg drug)

-Put the powder into a dark glass jar with lid. Measure 150ml full fat milk using a syringe, micropipette, or glass beaker. (You could probably just use some digital kitchen scales here)

-Shake or stir vigorously, giving time for the drug to thoroughly dissolve. It can be left for 20 minutes and shook or stirred again.

-Remove 15ml of milk and discard. Always shake or stir, before doing this.

-Split the remaining milk evenly into 2 sealed pots. Drink one in the morning and one at night. (Storing in the fridge for the shortest amount of time, make it that day)

-Each time you take a dose, rinse the container out with some water and drink that too, make sure you get all the drug. 🙂

Do this same thing for 14 days and let us know how you are.

You will need a needless medical syringe. Any size is fine. Perhaps the 10ml one would be best for you. Or 20ml. Get a pack. Put some clear nail varnish over the markings to protect them so they don't rub off.

Ideally you should do a cross over to the milk without a reduction.

- For 4-7 days, 1/4 of your daily dose in milk/ 3/4 of your daily dose in the pill form

- For 4-7 days, 1/2 of your daily dose in milk/ 1/2 of your daily dose in the pill form

- For 4-7 days, 3/4 of your daily dose in milk/ 1/4 of your daily dose in the pill form

- Full dose in the milk for a few days

-Then start the taper as described above

Ok.

So in an ideal world you should transition over to taking your current dose in milk form. So the above shows you how to start taking 1/4 in milk and the rest in tablet as normal for a few days. Then you do 1/2 and then you do 3/4, until you end up taking it all in milk before you make the reduction. To get your system used to the new way of absorbing the drug.

But where do i get 1/4 pill form..do u mean 0.5 mg from pill and other 0.5 with milk without reductions

1 mg clonazepam for 2 months

So 1/4 of the 1mg into the milk then 1/2 1mg then 3/4 mg then the whole 1mg. Take the milk the same as i described by splitting the milk and drinking half am half pm. The rest of the 0.5mg for each of the am/pm doses you take with the remaining tablet to make the dose up to 0.5mg each time.
