Thanks Chippy. All is well. This cut seems easy. Slept well and woke up refreshed. It's been a long time since I woke up refreshed. This is a very good sign. No w/d symptoms today. Be well. Marie.

I love that day too Chippy. This was my window of things to come. I have been getting night sweats mirt related that wakes me up early. I guess it's part of the cortisol awakening. I do not get other symptoms like a surge feeling, nausea, aches, etc. It's just night sweats and I wake up. I make the a/c stronger then I get cold. So my temp regulation is off. Sometimes I fall back to sleep and sometimes I don't. You know what though I don't care. It's all temporary and I have plenty good days to look forward to. I can't wait. Be well. Marie.

Definitely. I’ve had similar. Like looking through the clouds. Nights sweats are very common with mirt. I had them pretty bad. My temperature regulation is a bit off still but when on it I had all the windows open sleeping in a blanket in the winter! 🥶

Hello everyone. Gosh, I feel so good. Sleep has gotten better too. I think I will cut .02 mg to get me to .02 mg in a few days. I can hardly believe it. I'll stretch it out a bit more. With other tapers I kinda knew when it was time to end the taper, so that's how I'll end it. There is no rush.

Be well. Marie.

Amazing Marie! So happy to hear. Yes stretch it out. It might be worth even holding that final dose 0.01mg for a little while to be safe before stopping. Listening to your body is a great move.

Hello everyone. I am feeling pretty good mentally and physically. I have a tiny taper left, but I'll know when it's time to kick mirt to the curb. I'll just chill and be good to myself for the next few months. I have not taken any supplements or vitamins for the past month. I don't want them to interfere with how I'm feeling with mirt withdrawal. I'm purposely drawing it out a bit for a soft landing. It's an experiment for sure, but I think it is the way. I have a goal to lose another 20 lbs and to get stronger. I am going to try and improve my social life by getting a couple more friends. I've been isolating for so long that it would be nice for a couple more friends. I do have some friends but I want more lol.

Keep going everyone. It gets better. Be well. Marie.

Hello everyone. So tomorrow I'll go down to .01 mg. Sleep has been going very well. I've been getting long stretches of sleep and I believe it's REM sleep. Finally, instead of waking up a couple times it seems to be returning to be more normal. It's five or six hour stretches. I think mirt makes people wakeup a bunch of times due to that crappy cortisol. I wake up about a hour too early, but I think that will diminish after I'm off some time.

I'll just stop the tiny dose whenever the mood strikes me. I don't anticipate anything new once I stop except improvement. Everything should have caught up since I stretched the taper out in the end. Be well. Marie.

This is really great to read, glad the end of your taper is going so smoothly 😊 All the best for that final step, it’s going to be such a relief!

Great to hear @Marie Consider holding this dose for a few weeks before stopping to let you system settle and catch up. You are so close, I am so pleased. :)

Thanks Chippy for helping me get to the finish line. Yea I am going to hang out for a bit on .01 mg. I got about 5.5 hours sleep last night, so pretty good. It's early when I wake up but I rest in my comfy bed for a couple hours. I've been napping here and there in the afternoon too. Part of the fatigue is the symptom of mirt and it's w/d. I push myself now and I've done it all thru this whole shxt parade of tapering and w/d's of 3 meds. Mentally I've very strong and driven. Keep going everyone, it gets better. Marie.

This is so funny but not funny. I was moping around lately since I was getting head pressure and sinus stuff. I did not feel so good. It just hit me today that I was experiencing a summer cold. I automatically go to withdrawal when I don't feel well. Crazy stuff! Besides the cold, I feel pretty good lol. I'm going to hold tight with the taper a bit more before I finish it off. Be well. Marie.

I think we get so used to scanning for WD that we forget we can actually get colds and other issues too! Glad you are feeling ok apart from the cold. Getting there Marie!

Hello everyone. On 8/11/26 I took my last dose of mirtazapine. Last night there was no dose to take. What a pleasure! I slept just like I have been sleeping lately, some wakeups, little early, but who cares. I have been noticing I have been getting good chunks of REM sleep every night. My tummy is a little nauseous.

I have been having uti symptoms and tested positive on home test. When to the doc and got an antibiotic. I've also been nursing sinus symptoms for a month. There has been smoke from wildfires and additional pollution with very humid weather. I could have a sinus infection too. The thing is though both of these could just be mirt paying me back for tapering. I will take the a/b and see if I improve. I'll just chill at home with no plans and try to take extra good care of myself. To those out there tapering, keep going things will get better.

I think I have a good shot at getting healed completely. I'm curious to see how long it will take. My long ass taper may help. Mood is good and I remain positive. I'll check back from time to time. Be well. Marie.
