Quick positive update for a change 🙂

Actually this morning feels friendlier, which is nice because mornings have been the hardest part for me lately.

I’m not going to analyse it or try to predict what it means, just wanted to share a better moment too and celebrate it.

Hold on everybody, better days will come

In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022

From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022

From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022

From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this. From 7,5mg to 5mg on 23 Sept 2022

Started Cross tapering Escitalopram 5mg to tapering strip brand from 26th of feb 2024 over one week and stabilised on 5mg untill 31 March 2024.

31 March 2024 started taper using tapering strips.

Thanks so much for sharing @Sandnit 😊. That's absolutely the right attitude, I think we should all remember to enjoy our better moments, and to celebrate them as evidence that our bodies know how to heal. You're on the right path!

Quick update.

Tougher morning again today. I woke around 4:00 with quite a lot of chemical anxiety/restlessness and sweating. Unfortunately also yesterday was bad.....

On a positive note I had several better parts during the days last week, so today I’m going to accept it for what it is and keep reminding myself that better days are coming again. It is all part of this difficult process. Healing is happening. My body still needs more time to find stability

Quick update since my last post on September 23.

The last week has still been very up and down. I’ve had some good windows and some really good afternoons/evenings, but the last few days have been much more difficult again with early waking, chemical anxiety/restlessness, fatigue and that strange “off” feeling in my head.

At the moment it feels really hard again, and I do find it difficult not to get discouraged when it swings back like this after some better days/ moments.

I’m trying to remind myself that the better days were real, that this is still part of the process, and that I don’t need to fix every difficult day. Better days will come again.

Sending you all healing vibes!!

It is great things have been better for you mate, and you totally have got the right idea, better days is good signs of healing, the waves are tough, but they just temporary and very much part of the process. You are moving forwards, better days coming. :)

@SarahMc and @Chippy Thanks so much, really appreciate that. I’m trying hard to hold onto that right now.

This morning has been especially rough again, and I even had what felt like a brain zap — a very brief shock-like sensation through my head with my whole body reacting to it. That threw me a bit because I haven’t had that for a long time.

What also makes it difficult is that every wave seems to feel completely different. The symptoms, intensity and overall feeling can change so much from one wave to another that it can really mess with your confidence.

But I’m trying not to analyse every symptom and just remind myself that the better days were real and that this wave is temporary too.

Thanks again for the encouragement, it really helps. :)

If it helps at all, this has been my experience trying to stabilize as well. Every wave brings a different combination and intensity of symptoms, and sometimes new symptoms as well. It truly feels like something out of a sci-fi movie 😅. But from what I've read, this is normal and a sign that the nervous system is working hard on stabilizing. We'll get there 😊

@SarahMc Thanks so much, that really does help. It is exactly the unpredictability that messes with my confidence the most. One wave can feel completely different from the previous one, and then my mind immediately starts wondering whether something is wrong or whether I’m going backwards.
Hearing that you’ve experienced the same kind of changing combinations and intensity is reassuring. The sci-fi movie description is pretty accurate 😅
I’m trying to keep reminding myself that different doesn’t necessarily mean worse even if it feels worse, and that the better windows were real too. Today it is hard to believe but Better days are coming for us!!

Quick update. In wish i could post a more positive message but the last few days remain really really though! The better days and moments recently made me think I was starting to stabilise, so this setback has been difficult to accept.

The better days seem far away right now but the better days were real and will come back again!!

Quick update.

The last couple of days are still very intense. Yesterday evening I was extremely tired, almost like my brain and body had been working overtime.

Last night my daughter was awake a lot, so my sleep was even more broken too. This morning the strong inner restlessness and dry heaving. And feeling different again to some time ago. What a process.....

What amazes me every time is how convincing a wave can feel and how it takes over my life. The better days suddenly feel sooooo far away, almost like they might not come back. Even though i have had some good Windows recently. ..... Sorry for rambling.... Just really hard at the moment.

Really hoping this wave starts easing soon. Pffffff

Hope you are doing better ..... sending you all love and healing en.

Quick positive update.

Last few days have actually been a bit better. Sleep is improving, appetite was back and no dry heaving or nausea the last few mornings.

Mornings are still difficult though. Yesterday morning was pretty calm, but this morning feels a bit more intense again with that inner restlessness and anxious feeling.

And I notice that scares me.... after a few better days my mind already starts thinking about what might come next and whether another wave is coming and how it is going to hurt me. But I hope the waves become less intense.

Trying not to go too far into that and just take the good days for what they where. Yesterday was honestly one of my best days in quite a while .

Wishing you all lost of healing.

Last few days have actually been a bit better.

And I notice that scares me.... after a few better days my mind already starts thinking about what might come next and whether another wave is coming and how it is going to hurt me.

Trying to keep focused on just the day is best, I know it is easy to fear what comes next. It's not helpful to us. We must remain present, trusting that as time passes things will be easier.

Trying not to go too far into that and just take the good days for what they where. Yesterday was honestly one of my best days in quite a while .

Really glad to hear it @Sandnit. This is the right approach, accept both the good days and the bad and live only in the moment.
