This last week has not been so good, unfortunately.

I am sorry to read that.

Rough patches are part of the process, sadly.

That month hold you have planned will do you well. If it needs to be longer than a month, so be it. Remember the sage advice of LostinCanada, your body sets the pace.

I have been slowly climbing back out of my hole and am now starting to feel back to WD Normal.

Excellent! It always warmed my soul when a wave became a window, or even WD normal.

I read this quote in another context, but it's fitting for tapering too: After darkness, light!

@Wombatim sorry to hear that you went through a wave but happy to hear your out of it now .

It's will be so much easier doing the liquid and the cigar idea to hold for awhile.

I've been good surviving nothing too much to complain. I will do another drop in a week if things keep the same.. even though I don't want to as I'm always so scared to.

I know it causes me a lot of apprehension too, when i am considering another drop.

But we have to drop to get off.

Hey Cheeky,

I was going to do an update this coming weekend.

It's been almost a month of holding at 8mgai (16ml). I have been WD Normal most of that time. I have had a couple of intense but relatively short waves.

I was planning on recommencing my taper this coming Saturday, but I have been unwell for the past week. (A virus, not a wave). So I have decided to wait at least another week.

So all up I have been holding at 8mgai for about 3 months. (Including the transition to liquid).

I hadn't planned on that long of a hold, but I can only do what my body allows. And if it says "wait" I wait. At least I try to listen very carefully to what it says. I do get it wrong sometimes.

Thanks for checking in. 😊

@Wombat your doing it the right way . Good one you for listening to your body .

Are you making up your doses daily ? I crush mine add the water then wait 20 minutes before I consume it . I was going to make it the night before and leave it in the fridge but I'm too scared to rock the boat .

I really wish there was a support group in Australia , hopefully someone will eventually start one up or even a coach , that would be great .

Hi, yes I make up my doses daily.

I crush the tablet with a spoon, add water, wait 30 mins. Syringe out 16ml.

I am really hoping to do 2 nights worth with the 1 tablet, but like you am too afraid to rock the boat.

I was wondering if you had started using your micropipette, and what size did you get?

I've been doing a little research into it, and realising I may have to buy 3 micropipettes by the end of the taper, which is going to add up to a lot. It's also very possible I don't understand the measurements.

However, upon rereading it I am coming to a bit more of an understanding: DILUTION

This is key! I like 100-1000ul unit as it is basically a 1ml syringe, so you can just adjust the dilution when you need to go to smaller doses.

Hey Cheeky, thanks for getting back to me.

That's the one I was thinking of getting.

And then once I get to 1ml I would have to get the size Chippy suggested.

Hope your day has turned out OK.

I'm happy I could help . If you get one let me know . It is easy to use and it way more accurate then what I'm currently doing with the syringes .

On Paxil since 1995. Seroquel added 2014 after withdrawal crash. History of too-fast tapers/reinstatements.
