Starting Step 5 and final step of liquid transition tonight.

2mgai (0.031gpw) + 6mlai (12ml in syringe)

=8mgai

I managed to get 6 days worth of 0.031gpw. Very hard to weigh now. So this will be the last week on transitioning. Then full dose in liquid next week. I will hold this dose for a month to make sure I am fully adjusted to liquid before recommencing my drops.

Had an awful stomach churning anxiety attack yesterday (was situational). Looping thoughts etc. but lasted about 4 hours and then dissipated.

    21 April 2025 taper two drugs at once 

    Paxil 4% Seroquel 3.5% per month

    that ended up being too much and changed to one drug at a time  

    13 Jul 2025: 4% Paxil cut

    29 Jul 2025: 5% Paxil cut 

    6 Aug 2025: began hold

    Oct 2025: changed from liquid to powder and accidentally took 10x Seroquel dose for 2 weeks by mistake

    23 Oct 2025: returned to liquid with accidental 4.7% Seroquel cut

     Holding both drugs to stablize

    Great news Wombat, glad you are getting there with the transition. It's gonna be so much better to be on the liquid for you now at this dose. I know there has been a a few bumps crossing over, so close now!

    Thank you Chippy. I am looking forward to being 100% on the liquid. No more weighing doses - yay!! Was a little bit bumpy at the beginning, and I was a little concerned I wouldn't have been able to transition (catastrophising!!), but I am here now.

    Oh, I do understand this, Wombat! Catastrophising was huge for me for the 1st year or two. It has subsided over the years, more so when I tapered at a rate my body could tolerate (frustratingly, mostly less than 10% per month). I found the rate at which I could taper varied (up and down) along the way. As LIC says, your body sets the pace.

    I have not managed a 10% drop ever. I average about 3.5% per month. But like you, I have found some months I could barely do a 2% drop and another month I could do 6%. As much as I would like to be off these meds, I would also like to stay functioning. So yes, allowing the body to set the pace.

    You won't know how easier it is when you're on liquid I tried weighing and it was way too hard for me. Liquid is so much easier and I can change the rate often if I needed

    Thanks cheeky, I am looking forward to not having the frustration of getting the exact perfect weight of dose.

    Catastrophising : definitely a withdrawal symptom. The same as being overwhelmed in normal situations, or feelings that are unnecessarily amplified.

    Others have gone through this and made it to the other side. I am counting on that for us too.

    1996 Commenced on Sertraline 50 - 100mg. Many ADs trialled -Fluoxetine 20 mg, Paroxetine 20mg, Venlafaxine 75mg, Escitalopram 10 - 20mg, Vortioxetine 20mg, Bupropion 150mg.  2019 Recommenced Escitalopram 2022 Mirtazapine 30mg - Rapid taper. Amitriptyline 20mg

    CURRENT MEDICATIONS: Escitalopram taper from ~ 10mg commenced 2024, Amitriptyline 20mg at night, Diazepam 7.5mg total per day, Baclofen 10mg morning, 10mg lunch and 20mg night, Polaramine 2mg at night, Ketamine troche 25mg per day (Ceased early September 2025), Valsartan 160mg evening, HRT (Oestrogen 25mcg/day)

    Completed liquid transition - 22.05.26

    1 x 20mgai tablet crushed in 40ml water gives 1:2 ratio.

    8mgai = 16ml in syringe

    Took about 6 weeks to do full transition.

    I will now hold for a month to completely adjust to the liquid.

    I am so happy to hear from you.

    This last week has not been so good, unfortunately. I have been slowly climbing back out of my hole and am now starting to feel back to WD Normal.

    Just a wave that I am happy to say goodbye to.

    I am very glad to be using liquid. Weighing doses was just getting too hard.

    1998 Paroxetine 20mg, getting to 60mg and staying there for many years.

    Started reducing by 10mg at a time, December 2018 to June 2019. At 30mg held for 2 and a half years.

    Beginning 2023, start micro tapering from 30mg

    End 2023 - 18.76. End 2024 - 13.37. End 2025 - 8.58
