Pokey449: Mirtazapine-Doxepin Nightmare

Featured Replies

Hi @Chippy @cherrysquid @skamen ive been laying low for a few days. I’ve got lots of personal stuff in my plate in addition to continuing to not sleep well at night. I can’t get a relaxed restful sleep. I continue to wake 1-3x at night in great discomfort. I hurt all over, headache, anxious, not getting enough breath, groggy. Unsteady on my feet. Then drag my old butt through the day. I’m trying to plan a life, address issues with the love of my life, etc and am exhausted. I don’t think I should just post to whine about my life. But it’s all exhausting. Hoping things smooth out soon. I’ve been at the same dose now for 230 days & I keep having a shitty nights sleep. Getting real tired of all this misery. Had to call 988 the other day I was feeling so hopeless.

@Chippy @cherrysquid @skamen Hi everyone. Thought I’d drop by this morning. The struggle continues. I cannot consistently get a decent nights sleep. I’ll reasonably ok one night getting 5-6 hours and then 3-4 the next. In either case I awaken several times in the night and am in significant physical distress. Pain, nausea, very groggy, SOB, headache. Stiff and can hardly walk when I get up to go to the bathroom. Sometimes akathesia. Mentally in a state of intense anxiety & fear. Many days spent on my recliner other days I force myself to appointments & tasks. I fear sooner or later my body is going to give up. Something in me will break down and I will die.

I think what’s happening is a combination negative affects of the drugs, something in my physiology is amiss and all the anxiety & sadness I’m carrying now over a devastating personal matter. I’m exhausted and feeling very hurt.

@Pokey449, I feel you very well, our struggle is inhumane. I have never thought that such an intense and prolonged suffering is possible on Earth... It is beyond all the human imagination can produce.

I am so sorry for both your suffering @Pokey449 and @skamen .

It really is terrible. I wish I could help you.

Also, I want to remind you and all of us that withdrawal is not

a deadly disease.

Other withdrawal sufferers will read this and I just wanted to say that people heal from withdrawal and that even though it is a non- linear process where it sometimes feels like we are going backwards instead of forward, people get better over time. It can be a long time and often it involves a lot of suffering, but there’s always reason for hope.

Hey @Pokey449 thank you for popping on and saying hi mate, its good you get nights of better sleep. Sounds like your nervous system is very much in need of some more time to settle, I think working on and resolving your personal situation will help so much. Hope there is some end to this in the near future for you. I know how awful this can feel on certain days, I too feel that if I was honest. The suffering these drugs cause is nothing short of horrendous. Your nervous system should be here for you when you need it, instead you are left dealing with difficult life circumstances without it in full working order. This is tough. No doubt. Wishing you better days and nights.

@Chippy im about at the end of my rope. Between WD, sleep issues I don’t think are WD related, a challenging personal situation, all with my dysregulated nervous system I’m running on fumes. iI called 988 twice the past 10 days. I can’t keep this up. It’s killing me.
