Thank you at @LostinCanada I know I've gone along way and I keep telling myself they . I never thought I would get to where I am today and I have . I know I will just have to take my time as I'm so sensitive from previous mistakes . One day at a time 🌸

21 April 2025 taper two drugs at once

Paxil 4% Seroquel 3.5% per month

that ended up being too much and changed to one drug at a time

13 Jul 2025: 4% Paxil cut

29 Jul 2025: 5% Paxil cut

6 Aug 2025: began hold

Oct 2025: changed from liquid to powder and accidentally took 10x Seroquel dose for 2 weeks by mistake

23 Oct 2025: returned to liquid with accidental 4.7% Seroquel cut

Holding at Paxil 8.25 mg / Seroquel 6.5

Hi Cheeky,

I feel the same way you do. And then I have to remember that I never thought I would get under 20mg, then 10mg etc, etc.

It is just one tiny drop at a time and they all add up.

You'll get there, Cheeky. Keep persevering.

And make sure you take note of the window days, because for sure and certain when you're in a wave you don't remember the windows and believe you'll never see one again. But they always come round.

It's so crazy @Wombat that I can have a great normal 100% day then back into a wave the next . It can even fluctuate during the day . If I don't take my drugs at the same time everyday or I go to bed really late , it's like I'm guaranteed to have a bad day the next day.

Thank God for the good window days I get.

Hey everyone ,

I was tapering at 3% per month for three months, doing a small cut and hold each week. I didn’t take any longer holds during those three months because I was feeling really well.

Then the withdrawal symptoms seemed to catch up with me, and since then I’ve been experiencing a windows and waves pattern. It fluctuates so much from day to day — I can have a good day or feel almost normal, and then suddenly be hit with another wave.

I’ve now been holding completely for a month, hoping things would settle down. I have had some good windows during the hold, but yesterday I had a really bad wave, and it’s left me feeling quite disheartened about the whole process.

I know this isn’t necessarily a linear process, but it’s hard not to question what I’m doing when I can still have such a bad wave after holding for a month. I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced symptoms catching up with them after a few months of tapering and then continued having windows and waves while holding?

I can't give you specific names but many had this issue on SA. Brass monkey always stressed the 2 week hold after the 4 weekly tapers because of this. Some of us are just too sensitive to not hold. Since you did well for the first 2 months, maybe a 2-3 week hold then could help. I don't think you are doing anything wrong....just trying to figure out your limits.

Hi @cheeky I’ve had this happen twice now. I’ve been holding the same dose since end of April, so nearly 4 months now. About 3.5 months of terrible symptoms which ramped up over time. I’ve been relatively normal for a couple of weeks but feel so fatigued and drugged now the symptoms have settled. Going away for a few weeks in September but not changing the dose until,I get back. I can’t risk the return of WD symptoms whilst I’m away. I expect more of this as the dose gets lower and lower.

Hi Cheeky, I think anything goes with this drug.

In July I dropped less than 2% per week for 3 weeks, had the usual dips, but had a really good month. Held for 2 weeks and then at the end of the 2 weeks went into a wave.

Came out of that and did my first drop of the next cycle and went into a wave the next day.

I can't pick it.

Sorry things are still so up and down for you.

Hoping for nice big windows soon.

@cheeky Sorry things have gotten a little wavy, I think you are doing a great job figuring this out. I have nothing to say other than I agree, if you micro taper you gotta put some holds in there for sure. Hope things settle down, you'll get there, better to be functional and tapering rather than rush of. xxx

Wombat

Sorry you having the same problem . There seems to be not rhythm to this

@Wombat @Catbird

Ithe day I was leaving for Bali. I had a really terrible day with extreme restlessness, anxiety, panic and a feeling of absolute terror. It was probably one of the hardest days I’ve had for a while.

Looking back, I think it may have been an accumulation of a few things. I had been working far too many hours leading up to the trip trying to fit everyone in and cover myself before going away, so I was already exhausted and under a lot of pressure.

I also know that airports and travelling are a big trigger for me. I tend to get a lot of anticipatory anxiety before going away, particularly when I’m at the airport waiting to leave, so I think that added another layer on top of everything else.

Once I finally arrived in Bali and got through the travelling, things started to settle down. It just reminded me how sensitive my nervous system still is to stress, exhaustion and anticipation, and how quickly everything can build up when there are several stresses happening at once.

Today I woke up feeling way better. I hope the end the rest of the trip's gonna be a good one.

Love you all, cheeky
