It seems like you are dealing with fall out from your cold turkey and overdose. Depression is a side effect from these drugs as well as a withdrawal symptom....the very thing they are supposed to prevent, they can cause. It takes months to stabilize after what you have experienced. Time, patience and acceptance is important. Are you able to practice CBT? It can help with the anxiety and ruminating thoughts. It is important to tell yourself you are safe, your body wants homeostasis....do all you can to create an environment for healing. ❤️🙏 Thank you lic, well said. Im just scared as when I originally reinstated the 3.75mg I felt a lot better for a few weeks went down in dose to 2.5mg (too big of a drop) stayed there for 4 weeks to try stabilise which I didn’t so went back up to 3.75mg only had two days of relief and now stuck in this rut. Going down brought on more symptoms of high heart rate insomnia (gotten better) and anxiety thanks for your reply I appreciate your time. I hear you mate. We are all here for you. Unfortunately this kind of disruption is upsetting for the nervous system. It can take a long time to settle and happens in waves and windows. I’ve read your story, I’m also in a tough spot with Mirtazapine myself.. only took it for a month and then had horrible WDs and like you, had horrible side effects when I first started it. Lucky that you managed to avoid quetiapine, I unfortunately paid a private psychiatrist to help me and he would not give up in trying to prescribe it. When I had my last crash after trying to withdraw, I finally took it because of the panic and terror I was experiencing, stuff left me absolutely in despair and wanting to end it at every corner I looked, it was horrible. I immediately stopped and never took it again, I had some horrible thoughts one week after that crash too but thankfully they went away. Me and my wife have just had a first kid together so I know how difficult this is with having children in the mix too. You’re not alone mate, I’ve only just started my journey too and had to reinstate from my last crash, I’m still stabilising but it does get better.
