March 24Mar 24 Author https://youtu.be/F_DPpzH3z9U think everyone should give this a watch even if you don’t have gut problems. Im starting to proper understand why everything happens in turn to withdrawal. People who have had a bad gut or slightly leaky prior to antidepressant use are more prone to withdrawal. Once the colon is compromised and the wall is exposed it can leak through producing lps which then gets into your blood stream causing a cascade of problems. Blurred vision sexual problems cognitive difficulties. The neurotransmitters are produced in the gut by the bacteria and then signal the vagus nerve to the brain. This explains depression and anhedonia aswell. This is how chronic illness begins and this also explains why a lot of people get better due to diet. It also explains why people have adverse reactions aswell and also why people are sensitive to medication in withdrawal. Windows and waves are explained aswell as this is the microbiome restoring some sort of balance and then getting knocked out again. It’s all down to inflammation in the colon not allowing the new bacteria to stick. The key to beating this is intermittent fasting so say 16 hours a day and eating for 8. This also explains why it takes so long to get better and why some people are stuck for even longer. People do bad with high histamine foods because the histamine bacteria in the gut is low/off balance which then sends the wrong signals to the brain. The gut is the first brain with the actual brain the second. I had a weeks long window 2 weeks ago and I ate healthy throughout the problem is I ate to much when then sent me back into a wave. I started looking into all this because I’ve started to get bad acne and once I started researching it all started to make sense. Restore the microbiome and we will be good to go. Get a gut microbiome test done and you will see why certain symptoms aline with certain bacteria. I have a bacteria overgrowth of prevotella 45 percent it’s linked to my blurred vision and acne. My hormonal bacteria are all gone/low which explains the dysfunction. It’s a hard road but it can be fixed Edited March 24Mar 24 by Richie Mirtazapine for 3 weeks august 2025 15mg made me numb didn’t know why took an overdose of 10x 15mg tablets. reinstated at 11 weeks due to symptoms and inpatient stay. currently on 3.75mg mirtazapine symptoms/ anhedonia, slightly blurred vision, tinnitus, toxic naps depression, anxiety, pins and needles

Not to the extent that you have and not in the time i been dealing with a sensitive nervous system. I was more so talking in a general sense of overall health. Hi @skamen i basically fast for 20 hours a day, so I eat my first meal at 2 in the afternoon mostly walnuts, blackberry’s, blueberry’s,raspberries with some salad with lemon juice over it with 3-4 eggs two with yolk the other two just egg white. With some cress on the egg. I drink water throughout the day sometimes add abit of salt to keep the electrolytes up. For dinner at 6 I have 2 Chicken thighs with basil and plant seasonings, with broccoli cauliflower courgettes spinach. It has done wonders for me so far. There is defo something in all this as I have seen so many people heal from going keto, carnivore. @Toast went keto towards the end of her withdrawal and it completely wiped her depression away. Transmitters are made in the gut which then signal the vagus nerve to produce in the brain it all starts there. I have been doing this for 3 days so far and I feel great Im not fully recovered but no depression acne is gone blurred vision is gone and I have much more motivation and energy. I have a book called super gut and it explains a lot about chronic illness from diet alone and how it can all be treated. A lot of it stems from the colon once the walls get damaged they leak out LPs which is a endo toxin and it can cause chaos in the body. The reason for the fast is to allow this to heal and close so the endo toxins can leave the body through stools and not into your blood stream.
