Congratulations on the move, and well done for taking this on during WD!

Yes 100% this can cause a bit of a wobble in WD for sure! The nervous system is so sensitive right now, I have seen this in myself and in others I talk to regularly on here, that additional stress outside of the normal bubble we are in can be overwhelming.

Main thing is don't feed it. Dont add to it with second fear. Just float and accept and trust that given enough time this will all calm down for you. Cause it will! 👊 You got this mate!

Thank you Chippy! im just glad that the moving part is over haha. I agree with you about the additional stress, especially when one has gotten used to a certain daily routine, things like the move can indeed cause a bit of a wobble in that but you are 100% correct about not feeding the anxiety with second fear and i try my best not to even though it is hard sometimes. Thanks again for your kind and encouraging words!

Sorry to hear that you're struggling with these symptoms @Some0n3. Personally I've always gotten headaches/migraines once in a while, but in withdrawal I get them much more often and they come and go

Small update.

I was at an interview today and i got an internship at a small store nearby. This is related to my studies and i need to do this to advance them. Im pretty nervous on how ill handle it with all my symptoms etc but im gonna take it day by day and luckily my days are going to be relatively short, about 4 hours a day. Im gonna keep holding my dose of course as i dont want any nasty surprises during haha. Ill most likely evaluate if it would be wise to start tapering after ive gotten done with my studies which i hope will be sometime next year unless there are hiccups that make me need to pause them again.

Great update @Some0n3. I hope your internship goes smoothly it definitely sounds like you're approaching it with the right attitude 😊. And I think your plan for holding makes a lot of sense. You're doing really well!

I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I am new to this journey and my thoughts are based only on my personal experience with psychiatric drugs. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys.

Current regimen:

Cymbalta - 90 mg/day

Seroquel - 12.5 mg/day

*holding to stabilize as of Apr 2026

History:

Seroquel - up to 50 mg as needed for sleep (generally 6.25-12.5 mg a few times a week, though sometimes more) - 2009 (ish) to present

Cymbalta - 60 mg/day, periodically down to 30 mg/day - May 2014 to May 2025

Clonazepam - up to 1 mg/day as needed - March to May 2025, quick taper off

Zoloft - 150 mg/day - May 2025 to Aug 2025 (quick cross-taper from Cymbalta)

Pristiq - 50 mg/day from Aug 2025 to mid-Oct 2025 (quick cross-taper from Zoloft); 100 mg/day from Oct 2025 to Dec 2025; back down to 50 mg/day from Dec 2025 to Jan 2026

Lyrica - 200 mg/day - Nov 2025 to Jan 2026 (quick taper off from mid-Jan to early Feb 2026 due to severe depressive symptoms)

Cymbalta - 60 mg/day - Jan - March 2026; up to 90 mg/day from March to present

@Some0n3 I hope that it goes well.

It can be quite difficult knowing how much to push ourselves, but I think if we do things that we can manage (even if they're quite hard), it is good for us overall.

Obviously some things just are totally unmanageable, but I think you've got a good attitude as @SarahMc said. I really hope it's a positive step for you.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes.

I agree with @Luke that it's about finding the right balance -- sometimes it's really beneficial to push ourselves to do things that may feel hard, but of course we don't want to push too much and set ourselves back. I'm still working on finding that sweet spot myself. But I think a part-time internship at a store not too far from you sounds like a really promising place to start, and I hope you find it helpful.

I started to get a nasty headache yesterday that kept going on all night and as a result, i didint get much sleep at all if any. I didint have painkillers so i was forced to just tough it out till morning. i finally got some painkillers and most of the pain is gone but i feel anxious and awful from lack of sleep. As a result, i have alot of thoughts that worry me. One of the biggest ones is related to smoking and junk food. Im worried that these have made my recovery come to a stop or something like that. Im also worried that i wont recover if i keep smoking or eating junk food. I know that they dont do any good but i cant find the strength to quit them right now, partly because i enjoy them so much. Im not looking for any reassurance on the matter, i just wanted to express my concerns.

Hey @Some0n3 I am sorry to read mate. Headaches can be a big problem and I get head issues a lot so I empathise.

With the smoking, best not to stop that too quickly anyways, if you decide to, slowly like most things.

Same with the Junk Food, just carefully when you can.

I have heard of people eating nothing but Pizza and smoking 40 a day and heal, I think that was on Angie or Nicoles YouTube, I forget!

Thanks for all the lovley support you offers others on here and I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

ive stopped nicotine once before but i started again almost a year ago now. its a tough one because the whole ritual of smoking to me is enjoyable. i do limit how much i smoke though and ive been able to stick with it so thats something.

yeah i do try to limit junk food too. id be happy if i got into a spot of only eating it during the weekends. I havent had alcohol in a while now though and ive been able to not use caffeine products for a while now too! whenever i drink something like coca cola, i always make sure to get the caffeine free version and ive started drinking caffeine free tea like rooibos more actively now.

woah really? luckily i dont smoke nearly that much and the actual food that i eat is usually homemade!

@Some0n3 I saw Nicole Lamberson saying this in a video, there was a guy who smoked a pack a day and still healed. Our bodies are amazing -- even though we might try to give them the perfect space for healing, there are always life things that will get in the way, whether that be stress, family obligations, bad habits, whatever. Everyone's life is messy in some way, but the vast majority of us still heal in time. You will too.

I'm sorry about your headache. At first I had mild head pain most days -- that's mostly faded for me now, but I do still get bad migraines about once a month or so. My last one was a couple days ago. They always seem to come on in the late evening and then get really bad overnight and last into the next day. Just our brain telling us that more healing needs to be done I suppose!

I hope you can get some rest today and a better night's sleep tonight.

Cymbalta - 60 mg/day - Jan - March 2026; up to 90 mg/day from March to present

i used to get this kind of burning sensation in my head but its been more rare nowadays. just have these annoying headaches every so often but luckily ibuprofen helps! i can relate to the starting in the late evening and then lasting into the next day because thats basically what happened with my headache. i was hanging out with my friend and some other people when the headache came on, i toughed it out then too because i didint want to leave early.

Hey everyone!

I hope youre all doing as well as you can in your journeys. I apologize for not being active. Ive been pretty tired from the internship thing but despite that, it has gone surprisingly smoothly for me. The night after my first day was horrible as i was super anxious and felt ill (probobaly my body reacting to the new change in my routine) I had to call in sick the second day as i didint get any sleep that night. Surprisingly though this week has gone by much smoother and ive been able to go to work every day. I do find that my symptoms definitely make working harder but being able to engage in the work does help distract me a bit i feel. Overall im very proud of myself for being able to commit to something like this.

I’ve quit both alongside my tapering. It made me 50x worse. I would say quitting might do more harm because it’s withdrawal and directly affects the ANS. You might try to reduce maybe.

March 2020 Lexapro 10mg | August 2020 Lexapro 5mg (-50%), then stopped abruptly; mild akathisia and aggression for about one week.
January 2021 Zoloft 100mg | May 2022 75mg (-25%) | September 2022 50mg (-33.3%) | March 2023 25mg (-50%); libido disappeared and genital sensitivity decreased sharply.
July 2024 began tapering liquid Zoloft from 25mg | August 2024 22.5mg (-10%; held an extra month due to feeling unwell) | September 2024 19mg (-15.6%) | November 2024 17mg (-10.5%).
June 2025 Zoloft 9mg | September 2025 6.8mg; remained at 6.8mg for several months.
28 July 2026 Zoloft 6.80mg; daily reductions: 6.79 → 6.77 → 6.75 → 6.73 → 6.71 → 6.69 → 6.68mg; held for about two weeks because of activation and sleep problems.
August 2026 resumed daily reductions: 6.66 → 6.64 → 6.62 → 6.60 → 6.58 → 6.56 → 6.54 → 6.52mg (-4.1% from 6.80mg); holding at 6.52mg since 23 August 2026. | September 2026; Increased dose to 6,6mg to stabilize.

Sorry to hear, and the additional stress can totally make things worse, your nervous systems are also a tool to process the change in routine and stress levels etc... so when the nervous system is destablised it isn't going to do as good a job of it obviously!

@Some0n3 I'm glad to hear it has gone reasonably well. I hope that it continues to go ok and provide a good distraction.

I do find that my symptoms definitely make working harder but being able to engage in the work does help distract me a bit i feel. Overall im very proud of myself for being able to commit to something like this.
