We have no way to know is the truth of the matter, if you have to have it then do it, if not I would avoid or postpone till later personally,

Been 8 months in a wave now, things like trying to stop maladaptive daydreaming and stimming help for a few days but then I relapse. Don't know what to do. Something went wrong and the only thing I can think I did is a dental cleaning but even then it was a very gradual slow fall.

This doesn't feel normal at all how is it I've been down for 8 months now :( I have not seen this pattern in other stories. Healed very good in windows and waves and then just big block. Please some explanation because what could this mean except that something went wrong

I don't think you've done anything wrong.

I think you're unfortunately just still in withdrawal. If you had not had a long window, we'd still be saying that at 18 months you've probably still got progress to make with healing and it's not uncommon to still be suffering at this kind of time.

I don't think having had a long window a long while ago takes away from this, although I understand why it is extremely frustrating.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. Don't know what to do.

I think this is the key. There is nothing for you to do. You had a really big long window, but unfortunately you are back in an extended wave now. You likley did nothing to cause this. Healing can take some time and is often, honestly, always unpredictable. Learning to accept and allow rather resist and control us very important. We as humans always want to be proactive, but at best trying makes the journey more difficult and at worse this can lead to worsening through 'trying' fixes. Acceptance brings peace. Peace calms the nervous system. I think this can help the healing. And it definitely can reduce the suffering. You'll get there, and you are healing, you just don't realise it.

I feel worse than I have in all these 8 months and worse than I feel a year ago. Two things either this means healing is happening (since last time when I felt worse it meant bouts of healing followed up), but I ate this high fiber bread that bloated me and I feel worse after eating it. In February I had Brussel sprouts and felt significantly worse after that. I'm not sure if gut is the cause of WD but it makes existing WD symptoms worse just like maladaptive daydreaming does.

I am sorry to read. So do you think the bread significantly worsened you or was it just a passing symptom? Gut health is 100% affected in WD. Brain and gut are linked as we know. I sometimes think so closely they may just as well be the same system in many ways. I have had lots of experiences of eating directly making me feels symptoms. For me this was in the first 8 month period but still, it's a thing. Now I find eating makes me feel better, so I guess the same in reverse.

Try not to worry. I think it is very common to not get 'proper' windows later in WD. I had real windows in that first 8 months. Since then it has mainly been the same grind, just fluctuating and slowly improving over time, I don't ever feel 100%. You are not alone in this.

Hmm I kinda feel a bit lifted today? The past few days I was feeling worse was it because healing was happening because I feel lifted today?

I was able to stop maladaptive daydreaming for a bit earlier

I was able to feel a little excited about listening to a song

I was able to think a semi romantic thoughts

I even though for a second even if I spend the rest of my life in this state even ill survive because a lot of people live without joy atleast I am better than what I was <6 months

This all sounds good to me. Try to not be too desperate to improve. Stay calm and try to get your nervous system to accept and float and not put pressure on yourself. One day at a time. xxx

Luke Chippy or anyone does anyone know of severe hunger and cravings during WD? I had this during my windows last year but it would go away in a bit. This time I've had this 6 months straight it might not seem it but it's very hard

For the first months, I had hardly any appetite and quite bad nausea so struggled to eat even forcing myself.

After that, I craved specific foods.

Then, I developed intense sugar cravings, often when I felt my worst, and having sugar did take the edge off.

Then, for the last year/year and a half, I have had a big appetite, and when I get hungry I start feeling much more ill, quickly.

It's started to ease off in the last month, non-linearly but it is definitely reducing.

Its interesting I had this exact same thing in the same order. But mine cycled around a few times in a loop over a few weeks

2016 - Sertraline 50mg

2016 - Sertraline 100mg.

I didnt know better and rarely took it consistently.

June 2024 - went down to 75mg

2025 - Down to 50mg

2026 - down to 25mg

April 2026 - hit by withdrawal and kindling

Reinstated April 2026 - 25mg

May 27th 2026 - Upped to 50mg

My appetie has been in both directions several times. Couldn't eat hardly, then couldn't not eat lol, now days it's pretty level.

I have this craving of sugar in the last few days. It is on and off. Sometimes, I feel like a constant eating as well, and sometimes, I don't feel like eating. For the sugar issues, I use monk fruit as a sweetener to control it. When I'm craving for food, I try to drink just water or something healthy. It's less intense now, but I still get these issues too.

08/01/2009- Klonopin 1mg, but took only .25mg when needed, and end up taking every day for 3 years. 08/01/2012 - Paraxotine 20 mg

12/2024- reinstated 5mg (.0740g)after cold turkey. First tapering 07/01/2025 = 1.2% , 09/01/2025 - another 1.4%. 10/01/2025- 4.79mg (.0716g) holding until further notice........04/17/26 resumed taper 0714g (4.78mg). 05/20/2026- .0712g (4.76mg, .28% cut). 06/09/2026- .0708g (4.73mg .56% cut). 06/30/2026 - .0706g (4.72mg .33%). 07/28/2026 - .0700g (4.68mg, .85%).

It's so frustrating cos literally the only good part of that hell that was Month 1-6 was that I lost weight that I needed to. Then month 7-11 during my window my appetite came back and so did my binge eating disorder however I managed it with keto, mindfullness, exercise and diet and lost even more weight. Then from Month 14 onwards I had been hit with these insane cravings and hunger and I've gained like 25 pounds since then :((. I hate this so much is anyone else struggling with weight gain sugar and hunger 🅰️

For breakfast I can literally eat steak, eggs, high fibre bread and an hour later I'm ravenous again..not normal..idk what to do nothing is curbing the sugar and cravings I hate this so much ;((

Id pay for some hunger cues, I literally just had to force myself to eat something and I don't care what it is because I have no interest in food I literally ate a cold piece of chicken and a piece of sourdough bread to have something in my stomach. 😔 Although I can imagine being hungry all the time is just as frustrating.
