Waves changing is weirdly a good thing means healing is progressing. Or so I have read. I guess that makes sense because it shows change, and the change we want is stabilisation lol

Thanks @cherrysquid ive also heard that which is reassuring for sure. It’s just hard not to think that a wave is damaging, especially when you’re in one

Hi everyone. Had a window day yesterday, I’m away for my wedding anniversary this weekend. It’s been ok, I had a full body massage(for the first time) and it was great, like all my symptoms vanished for an hour. One thing I particularly struggle and always have in withdrawl is work anxiety. I love my job, well I did before withdrawl. Now it triggers me, everytime I think about work and being busy it makes me curl.

Im in a unique situation. I work for my uncle and he’s brilliant. He’s 70 so is more or less office based and im essentially the guy who does the lifting and face to face with clients. I’m the only employee so it’s not really feasible for me to take time off and I’m also the main income of the family.

Does anyone else struggle with work or work thoughts? What strategies do you use to cope?

Hi @Johan1233 I’ve always struggled with performace anxiety to some extent. It

depends on the context as to how vulnerable I feel. For me it’s often to do with hyperarousal and/or fatigue, plus fear of the unknown. Tapering and WD can be very energy depleting so it stands to reason. Have you confided in your uncle?

Hi @Catbird . I suppose for me it would be more fear of the unknown I guess. Different jobs on different sites with different people. Regarding my uncle, he’s very old school. Last year when I first went into WD I did mention it to him. Unfortunately he didn’t really understand and put all my emotions on the fact I was getting married later in that year. In the 8 months since December I’ve been able to hold it together so I haven’t mentioned it. I think this wave I’m in seems more overpowering which is making me feel more worried

Hey @Johan1233 It's great you had a good window, hope you enjoy your weekend away!

Sounds like a nice setup working with your Uncle. I think work based anxiety is very common. I had it to some extent, it was different to how you descibe here I think, I found I would have projects, that I would put huge amounts of work into, then on the delivery day I felt overwhelemed and on high alert, just very aware of what could go wrong, it was actually pretty debilitating at times. It would only happen on the delivery day and whilst onsite, so outside of that I didn't have these issues. I also wasn't taking or had ever taken any drugs at this point, so what you are going through here isn't lilley clear cut anxiety, could be and very likley imo some element of neuroemotions being fed by work.

Hey @Chippy. Thanks mate, it was nice to get away and be child free😁

I agree I think it’s also just neuroemotions fed by work. When I was stable the work anxiety disappeared. That’s what I based my stability on the fact that I could work without issues. Also when in a window the anxiety’s lessen or even disappear.

But the thought of being busy at work fills me with dread, or if another job comes in when already busy. It’s insane

Hi @Johan1233 The trick might be to slow right down. I've been tapering Escitalopram too. Last July I was at ~ 1.5mg, I made it to 1.010mg in April this year and I haven't been able to go any lower for now. - so only able to decrease 0.4mg in one year. The symptoms have been unbearable. I'm relatively stable ATM and holding. I need to have some normally for a while and get back to living life. I've got a trip away coming up and I'll decide what to do afterwards. Probably taper one of the other drugs for a while. I've been on Escitalopram for decades so I don't even know if I'm ever going to get off it completely.

Thanks for replying @Catbird . Unfortunately I’ve been on this dose for almost a year😣 it’s very frustrating.

I’m glad to hear you’re relatively stable! Are you using a homemade liquid formulation or does it come in a liquid bottle from the pharmacy?

Well this is rubbish! A proper wave day today, depressed feeling and totally spaced out. Interestingly my wife can always tell when I’m in a funk as my breath changes, I’m guessing that’s a result of the dry mouth?

Managed to get on the bike for 10 minutes. Didn’t feel anything but I’m glad I did it. Praying for a better day tomorrow

Up and down as always 😂 its a bumpy ride for sure. Its mainly three symptoms now - waking up totally sweaty (which did go away but came back) the ball of anxiety in my stomach and still a little bit of restlessness now and again. In a wave, add heavy limbs and SI. Its a lovely daily roulette 😂

Thanks for replying @Catbird . Unfortunately I’ve been on this dose for almost a year😣 it’s very frustrating.

I’m glad to hear you’re relatively stable! Are you using a homemade liquid formulation or does it come in a liquid bottle from the pharmacy?

I use a compounding pharmacy. The solution is stable for 90 days.

It’s just bloody rubbish isn’t it!!!😂

Hi everyone, as far as food is concerned.

Is it ok to consume Greek yogurt and kefir yoghurt? I’ve read about the risks of probiotics?

I take probiotics daily with no issues. If you are concerned, just start with a little. These drugs mess majorly with our gut microbiome. I think it has helped me. 🤷

kefir yoghurt?

I have some of this with some granola and fruit every day. Don't think it causes me any issues and I suspect it's useful for me,
