Update:

Today is hard again, different from yesterday, but still hard. I won’t go into all the symptoms.

Just hoping this wave settles soon and I can find some stability again. It’s just really hard to believe that when you’re in the thick of it… even after being proven wrong so many times ;)

Hope you’re all finding some better moments!!!

Sending some love @Sandnit I know how tough the waves can be. Everyone is right there with you, we understand. As you said, it will pass, and as you also said, hard in the moment to believe it. 👊

Quick update:

My head feels quite weird today, kind of “off”. It’s actually hard to describe… almost like a hazy, floaty feeling, as if I’m drifting or like there’s a balloon in my head. Can anyone relate to that?

At times it all felt a bit stuck....but there have also been very brief moments with a bit more space and calm, which I’m trying to hold on to.

Yes, I have had this symptom. It feels like air inside my brain. Horrible

November 2024 Elvanse for ADHD. Anxiety and jaw clenching, stopped after 4 weeks. Felt fine.

January 2025 Medikinet XL

Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 3 weeks. Felt fine

March 2025 Concerta XL Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 2 weeks. Felt fine

April-May 2025 Amfexa and Methylphenidate instant release, both only worked for an hour so stopped.  Felt fine.

June 2025 Atomoxetine started slow taper. Immediate hot flushing and feeling sluggish.

July-September 2025 Tapered up to 70mg Atomoxetine. Constipation, insomnia, muscle spasms, weird thoughts, mood swings, night sweats, hot flushes, brain fog, dizziness etc

October 2025 rapid taper off Atomoxetine. I also had a GA for shoulder surgery the same week I finished meds.

Ongoing symptoms ever since, but now also trouble swallowing, difficulty passing urine, muscle twitches, depersonalisation, heavy limbs, emotional blunting, apathy, feeling "wired" and robotic, PGAD.

New symptoms February 2026: Nausea and burning head

Supplements: B12, folate and Vit D as all were bordering on deficient.

Bad reactions to CBD oil, Mag glycinate, Mag L.Threonate and Fish Oil

Hi landgenootje!

Yes I have all kinds of weird head symptoms.. just made a post about it.

Some days the outside and top of my brain (frontal lobe and cortex) feels completely injured and like stone, while the insides feel like air. Today my entire brain feels weird. Too soft and very weightless, like my brain is pudding / air.

Every day is a suprise what my brain will do 🥹…

Hang in there! Its your brain healing and recalibrating ❤️‍🩹

12 august 2025; 5mg fluoxetine

30 August 2025: 10mg fluoxetine

11 september 2025: 5mg fluoxetine

19 september 2025; 2.5mg fluoxetine

2 oktober 2025: 0mg

I had to cut my pills in half and quarters, so and don’t think I had accurate dosages.

@Sophia , Thanks for sharing, landgenootje! That really resonates. It’s crazy how it can feel so hard to describe, but very real.

Good to know I’m not the only one experiencing this. I’ll try to see it as part of the brain recalibrating.

Quick update:

Today is a really heavy day and it feels a bit like things are stuck.

It’s hard to feel like I’m making any progress on days like this.

I know this is probably part of the process, but could really use some reassurance from anyone who’s experienced similar....

I’ve been holding for quite a while now and this wave feels relentless.

I’ve had better days during it, but I honestly didn’t expect it to go on for this long.

Sorry for the rant.

Tough days and nights in a row now.

Even though I’ve had some better days before, this feels quite discouraging.

I keep wondering if I’m doing something wrong… I’m holding, taking care of myself, etc. But this is just part of the process, right?

The wave feels very stuck, stubborn and never ending at the moment… praying it shifts again soon.

Sorry for rambling.......

Wishing everyone better days 🙏

Hey @Sandnit I'm sorry you're having hard time atm, waves and windows are integral part of the process so go easy on yourself, you're doing everything right, it will go as it comes, try not to fight it, with acceptance it's a little more bearable.

Wishing you easier moments right now!

@Fullhealing @Beehive , Thanks both, I really appreciate your replies. It helps to be reminded that this is part of the process and that I’m not alone in this.

I’ll try to go a bit easier on myself and not fight it so much.

Wishing you both some nice windows and easier moments ahead 🙏

@Sandnit It's so easy to get caught up in all this, I certainly do ,I'm fine when everything is going well but as soon as a wave hits I'm all over the place doubting this that and the other. We are all guilty of this. Ultimately it has to be withdrawal nothing else could act like this !!! Hope you find peace soon ...after an horrific day yesterday I went out with family and enjoyed it 😊

@Chippy ,I think I jinxed it haha. Yesterday things shifted again and I felt worse. This process is so unpredictable. Bit still part of the process i guess???

Unfortunately it is! So up and down and non linear. Like it is toying with us! But it is very normal. You are doing great. Just one day at a time, accept, float don't resist. The waves are more healing that is all. Trust your body to stablise this for you. It will!

Update: Had a few reasonably good days again lately, which was really encouraging.

But yesterday afternoon things shifted again and this morning I’m not feeling great either.

I keep getting scared that this is just how it’s going to stay, even though I’ve had better days again recently.

Part of me really wants to continue tapering, but it’s probably better to hold still for now?

Sometimes these setbacks and waves really make me doubt myself.

This process really is such a rollercoaster.

Wishing everyone calmer days and healing 🙏
