How long that period is up to you, but a few good days is more a window rather than WD normal imo. Please don't doubt yourself, your body is amazing, trust it.It is so much better to be stable and then taper.Chippy I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. May 6May 6 Author Thanks @Chippy ,I really appreciate your reply and reassurance. It makes a lot of sense. The way I feel right now is probably around a 5–6/10, while the better days I had recently were more around 1–4/10.So I guess it’s best to wait a bit longer and let things stabilize more again before making any further taper decisions 🙏 In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022 From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022 From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022 From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this. May 20May 20 Hi Sandnit - just wanted to say hi as I have read (some of) your thread. I can relate to your situation very well. Ups and downs - bump after better days - feeling stucked at times. Happy when windows appearing and yes, now the process is turning - but then bad days return. I guess we're on the right path and will get better over time - we must believe that; I believe it when I'm having windows and after all I'm much better today than a year ago ... Several different antidepressants since 2001. 2016-2024: Venlafaxine 300mg, Lamotrigine 100mg, Brintellix 10mg. Today: Duloxetine 60mg and Lamotrigene 100mg Venlafaxine 300mg until 09/2023- 10/2023 -> 225 mg. 03/2024-05/2024: -> 0mg- Advised by GP.Brintellix 10mg until 08/2024- 09/2024 -> 0mg. Advised by GP.- 11/2025: 0mg -> 5mg, then 15mg shortly after.- 12/2025: 15mg -> 0mg.- All advised by new psychiatrist.Duloxetine 60 mg. today- 10/2024: Started on 30mg - 12/2024: 30mg -> 60mg - 02/2025: 60mg -> 90mg for 3 weeks, then back to current 60mg,- All advised by new psychiatrist instead of VenlafaxineTruxal/Queatiapin: 3-4 times in 01/2025, advised by new psychiatrist.Lamotrigine 100mg today
May 20May 20 Hi @Sandnit and @recov70 . This is also my exact pattern at the moment. Better days (not full windows or anything, just days when my symptoms are kind of background noise and I feel a sense of optimism) and worse days. But no clear sense of forward progress. It’s easy to feel stuck but then I read all the stories on here and I can believe that eventually I’ll get to a better place. We’re all in this together. If there's still doubt it is probably not the time as well being aware to what is happening around you. If there are more stressful times, then it is better to hold, I know so well the desire to be behind it in a clean body, but it is a long, non-linear process that tests us from all sides. so yes, patience and time are the key.Keep holding on to the good moments that will get longer and much better over time, much luck on your way forward Edited May 20May 20 by Fullhealing 1998 forced on cipramil *no anxiety/depression background*Over the years all kinds of SSRI/SNRI/antipsychotics/stabilizers due to apparently side effects/withdrawalMany attempts to quit over the years with failure (extremely rapid taper followed by doctors' guidens)Current attempt-Paxil 20 mg:6/24 20 mg to 5 mg-severe AKA9/24 Increase to 20-AKA continues10/24 stopped completely-AKA out of control 11/24 Zoloft bridge attempt-25 mg to 75 mg+Seroquel-AKA continued-stopped them CT.12/24 Back on Paxil 10mg (0.1789g)-some stabilization-from here tapered by about 30% each time (don't remember doses and dates).2025 - 7.10 0.0558g (3.11mg)/7.11 3% 0.0541g (3.02mg)/4.12 1% 0.0535g (2.98mg)2026 - 3.1 1.5% 0.0526g (2.93mg)/9.1 8.5% 0.0480g (2.68mg)/16.2 1.8% 0.0470g (2.62mg)/21.3 1% 0.466 (2.60mg)/23.4 2.2% 0.455g (2.54mg)/8.7 21.7% 0.0356.5g (2mg)/15.8 updose by 11.7% 0.0400g (2.23mg)Supplements:Magnesium Glycinate - started 28.5.26 1 capsule 200mg in the morning - Increased brain fog and muscle stiffness - stopped after two weeks.Iron - liquid, quarter of recommended dose - increased anxiety and burning sensation - stopped after two weeks.Saffron - started 8.7.26 1 capsule 30mg in the morning - pretty immediate improvement in terms of terror, body pain and sleep.

May 22May 22 Author Update: At the moment I’m in a very bad spot again. Besides the usual withdrawal sensitivity and fluctuations, I also got very emotionally triggered by worries in my personal life.My nervous system reacted really strongly to it and I noticed how quickly my mind went into fear, overthinking and worst-case scenarios. Is it common to still be this sensitive and fragile under stress, even after having better days recently?I really hope this doesn’t set me back again.Hoping things calm down again 🙏 In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022 From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022 From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022 From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this. From 7,5mg to 5mg on 23 Sept 2022 Started Cross tapering Escitalopram 5mg to tapering strip brand from 26th of feb 2024 over one week and stabilised on 5mg untill 31 March 2024. 31 March 2024 started taper using tapering strips. Escitalopram 04/20/24 - 4,5mg (hold because of WD symptoms raming up), 07/03/25 - 4,3mg, 07/28/25 - 4,2mg, 09/15/25 - 4,0mg, 10/13/25 - 3,8mg, 11/23/25 - 3,6mg (after illness big wave, so hold)

May 22May 22 Author Thanks @Chippy , this actually connects a lot of dots for me.I’m starting to realize a the part that makes the struggle a lot harder is that I immediately go into “fixing/control mode” whenever something emotionally difficult happens. And with a sensitized nervous system everything feels so much bigger and more urgent than it probably really is.I think I need to learn that things don’t always have to be fully solved before I can calm down again. That’s very hard for me, but probably an important lesson in this whole process 🙏I just hope this doesnt set back the stabilization proces to much.....
