May 22May 22 Author @Chippy That actually makes a lot of sense to me. I’ve always been someone who tries to solve, control and carry everything, and withdrawal seems to amplify that massively.I wanted to ask if this kind of stress could set back my stabilization again… but there I go again trying to control and predict everything haha.Maybe learning to accept uncertainty and let go a bit more really is part of the healing process 🙏 In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022 From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022 From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022 From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this. From 7,5mg to 5mg on 23 Sept 2022 Started Cross tapering Escitalopram 5mg to tapering strip brand from 26th of feb 2024 over one week and stabilised on 5mg untill 31 March 2024. 31 March 2024 started taper using tapering strips. Escitalopram 04/20/24 - 4,5mg (hold because of WD symptoms raming up), 07/03/25 - 4,3mg, 07/28/25 - 4,2mg, 09/15/25 - 4,0mg, 10/13/25 - 3,8mg, 11/23/25 - 3,6mg (after illness big wave, so hold)

You deal with stress and emotional triggers using the tool that is your nervous system. So when your nervous system is injury/dysregulated it can’t handle those stressors. May 24May 24 Author @Chippy Thanks. It really shows how important it is to learn to carry, accept and let go a bit more instead of constantly trying to solve and control everything, (which im not yet good at) because not everything in life can be prevented or fully controlled. And also to keep trusting that the body and nervous system can still heal, even when things feel very intense in the moment .....right??🙏 In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022 From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022 From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022 From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this. Acceptance isn’t fixing everything with acceptance! I do this too sometimes. Learning to let it all go is very hard indeed. But it’s important to keep that practice up, daily I find, just bringing yourself back to it when it slips. It really is the most important of all the coping skills imo. Not the easiest but most important. I have to also add that it’s important to accept, that sometimes you cant accept, or you just fail to be able to accept some days. Don’t get caught in the trap of feeling guilty when you can’t manage it, that’s ok. I actually think it’s a natural eb and flow to have moments where we can manage it and moment where we fail. The trick is to not give up on it. I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I only offer my thoughts as support. Please speak to your health practitioner about your care. May 25May 25 Author Update: Last night was rough and I woke up very activated again this morning. The nervous system feels very on edge at the moment and my mind immediately wants to jump into fear and overanalyzing again.Trying to remind myself that I’ve had these intense waves before and that they eventually shifted again, but it feels so endless at the moment.... But it is not ....i got this!! In 2016 Paroxetine 20mg for 4 months then stopped more or less cold Started 10mg Escitalopram 4 Mar 2022 From 10 to 20mg on 19 Apr 2022 From 20 to 15mg on 23 Jun 2022 From 15mg to 7,5mg on 5 Sept 2022 (I was supposed to drop from 15mg to 12,5mg but I accidentally used 5mg and half of 5mg pills instead of 10mg and half of 5mg pills, when I found out 2 weeks later I decided to keep to 7,5mg since most of the WD symptoms subsided by then, I now regret this.
