I just wanna stablize on 20mg but I worry staying at 20 and not going up is like making a horrid mistake or something like not getting back to my original dose aka was on for 12 years will make this worse and worse the longer I go out. I know 20mg does 80% while 60mg does 5% to 10% more and then im like I'll be ok but then I'm like what if I need that. I worry about my future constantly of taking 5 years. I just wanna do the right thing. I jnow I'm very annoying its judt I don't know who else to talk to so I greatly apologize

Here's an idea. Try to write out how you'd like to feel, except don't use the words "but" or "scared". Write something affirmative that you think you can work towards. That will help you break the thought loop.

I'll try my best judt it's hard woth all the swarming anxiety

It should be a good, low intensity way to decrease your anxiety.

Started Paxil for GAD in 1999

Unsuccessful taper attempt in 2006

Paxilprogress helped with a successful taper completed in 2009

Using therapy and CBT to manage my anxiety

I offer advice based on my experience.  Nothing I share is intended to be medical or therapy advice.

@Jacky Rose

You don't need to apologize we are here for you. It is completely normal to be scared.

We just need you to understand and start to work on your coping skills. That really is the only thing you can and should be doing right now.

Acceptance is key - Why does acceptance feel impossible?

We are always here for you and support you fully but you must start to understand that you can't hide from this. The only way is through, there is no way to return to how things were. Once you accept that reality you will be ready to deal with this head on.

Holding your dose here is the best thing you can do right now. Windows and waves are a really really great sign of your body healing and adjusting back to normal. Feel good that your experience is very common, you are on the right path.

So work on that radical acceptance, built your daily routine and distraction techniques to help you get through the more tricky times.

Did you know that anxiety and looping thoughts can be WD symptoms?! So some of this may be just Neuro Emotions as you stablise. It is super important that you keep calm and don't add to them with second fear just accept the anxiety is there and let it pass through you or sometimes its described as floating through it. Being a human, and dealing with emotions in WD

Apologies for the late reply but thank you very much for how understanding you've been and yeah I guess this has been all so overwhelming for me. I know most of people here are wishing to get off or taper off and for me it's rather I made a mistake of accdinrtally forgetting my meds then get back on and stay on my medication. I just wish to stablize on my dose and don't plan on getting off. I guess is I know how I talk I know I sound like I'm looping most of the time and you'd be right but I guess is that it's hard due to my medical anxiety I have, I know this will heal and it won't take 5 years for me to heal since I staying on the medication but it still gives me the tears when I think about what could happen like brain fog to where I can't talk or depersonalization. It's been a roller coaster and I'm very thankful you've been here for me, I'm only 23 and I know I have the rest of my life ahead of me I guess I thought this was it like this is my entire life now or something and I spiraled so badly.
