Even people without anxiety have good days and bad days. They happen. We can't rate recovery from one day to the next. It takes place over months, but each day gets you a day closer to recovery.

Yeah and now I just gamed with my friends and I felt almost normal and I laughed and had a good time. I think honestly rhis stems from my severe issue of sackluding myself and putting myself alone and no real distractions. Now that ive done a distraction the anxiety is less now its not perfect but I realize alotta the doom comes from being alone with my thoughts

And there you go! Shutting yourself off leaves you and your anxious mind alone so it can play with your feelings. Distraction is so simple but so powerful! You are really doing great!

I definitely felt calmer when around friends. You mentioned doing VRChat and I noticed that having that headset really helps you focus in the moment compared to being on the PC. Just having someone you can interact with, even virtually like that, helped me a lot. Maybe I should do that a bit more often.

I'm really scared of this taking away my 20's or even my 30's will this take 10 years to fix? Is this permemant? I'm scared ill start getting progressily worse, I reinstated within 2 months but what if that dosent change the length of my healing. Im worried 10 years is super common and that's where I'll land. I'm only 23 and I'm very scared I won't get better. I could use some support

10 years isn’t super common!

Remember what we said before. One day at a time! If you can master this you’ve got this cracked! Keeping our worry in check is important outside of wd, but whilst we are dealing with a sensitive nervous systems it’s more important. Distraction remember! Don’t let the negative thoughts win!

I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I only offer my thoughts as support. Please speak to your health practitioner about your care. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys.

Ok but do you think I would take 10 years? I just need some reassurance and I know I sound desperate or I'm not doing what you Say and you are right im trying to distract myself more lately and play games with friends it's just its hard to shake that what if and I don't know I worry that's what I'm destine for this to become 10 years or worse permanent. I worry ill lose my personality slowly of who I am. I haven't yet but I worry it's soon to come.

No! 😀

In wd we learn good skills for life. This is one of them. Just focus on the now. Helps keep our anxious minds calm and in check. Things are never as bad as our anxiety tells us things will be. Worrying changes nothing. 😀

@Jacky Rose , picking up on what @Chippy just said, none of us have any idea what may happen in our lives. We can make plans and try to control outcomes, but I can get hit by a bus tomorrow, or win the Lotto (although I don't play). The point is worrying is pointless, can allowing your thoughts to constantly come back to the "what ifs" just entrenches ruminations into your daily thought patterns. Distraction seems to very effective for you--try to engage in more of it.

You put into practice what you’ve learnt. Good job!👍

These kinds of skills set us up for better lives even after wd. 😀

Yeah I kinda realized alotta of what it was, was fear rather then side effects and I started to have such a great time. I gues si was so scared to have fun cause I worried of getting dpd or emptional blunting but then I just relaxed and had a blast. Also my sleep is starting to see improvments it's a lil up and down but nothing drastic it is building. When I started 20 it caused me to have 2 hour sleep intervals 3 times a night But now its slowly stiching becoming 3 to 4 plus 2 more or 6 hours. I think im healing and I didn't even wanna belive it but I am. I guess I thought it was impossible

So good news my heart ekg came back normal and running smoothly. And my blood work came back good except I have low vitamin D (to be fair I spend most of time indoors) and my liver ALT was slightly high at a 65. Tho all the other liver tests then ran were clear and my white blood cell count was fine cause they didn't even mention it To be fair I take alotta meds so that may be why my liver Alt is slightly high.

Sounds like you’re fit and healthy, just need some more sunshine.

Good reason to reduce your meds at some point. 😀

I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I only offer my thoughts as support. Please speak to your health practitioner about your care. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys.

If you are from the UK please make sure you fill in a 'Yellow Card' report for the MHRA. It is you doing your bit to help make a difference.

Please take the time to do it today 🙂 https://yellowcard.mhra.gov.uk

For US members details here.

That's great! One test out of normal bounds doesn't mean much unless there's something else wrong. I read a medical journal article several years ago. 20 years ago, a blood test covered maybe 10 things. But as technology (and patient lawsuits) expanded, the tests cover dozens of things. The more things you test, the more likely you are to find something out of whack. My platelet numbers run high but that's just the way I'm built.

Now you can relax a bit! and look toward recovery, as Chippy said!

Hasn't happened yet. Turn the fear to a positive affirmation. I went through today with no depersonalization and I'll make it through tomorrow.

You can find whatever you want on the Internet. I can send you proof there are Lizard People living in an underground empire beneath downtown Los Angeles. You've got a whole community of people here to support you no matter what happens. When you celebrate the good days, it makes it less likely the bad days will affect you as badly as they might. You're going to get through this!
