    So far it's better today.

  • Maybe you're right. I shouldn't take any unnecessary risks right now.

Two bits of good news. 🙂

Yeah these massive life changes really do make withdrawals much worse. And I hope once things are better my withdrawals will get better too.

According to my social worker I can move out whenever I want into the apartment, but I am choosing to wait until a wet room has been built, or at least the shower is made accessible for morbidly obese people like me.

@EDP6893 could you please remind us what your current strategy/status is with medications?

Your signature is clear, I understand what you're taking. I meant more, are you currently on a long hold hoping to stabilise in symptoms? Are you hoping to taper at a certain point?

Just an update on your plans and what's going on really, if you do want to talk it out. You're under no obligation to.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

Extremely bad news. I have been betrayed and the people in charge of me moving out have decided I will not be getting any reasonable adjustments after all to the shower I cannot fit into for the new apartment. My mum is on their side, didn't even try to advocate for me or stand up for me. I will have to wait *months* just to get a wet room, possibly 6 months.

I won't forgive them.

What does this mean for you in terms of moving out? Are you planning to still live there but deal with the difficulties using the washing facilities, or will you pursue trying to appeal this, or seeking alternative living arrangements?

I am moving out to that apartment on feb 16, because if I didn't my mum would send me somewhere even worse. I don't have anyone here IRL on my side defending me. I'll have to limit showering for the time being to reduce the risk of slipping and hurting myself.

Sorry to hear about this added stressor for you. Do you have a social worker that can advocate for you?

Genital burning pain has been here for 6 months now. Is it going to be permanent? I thought because it had gone away before earlier in 2025 (it lasted 1 month in may and went away again) that I was safe overall but now I'm very worried that is not true.

You might want to taper it to prevent rebound insomnia....10% a week and slow it down if you have issues. Everything I can find mentions a quick taper for comfort.

I don't want to do that I will just quit cold turkey. As far as I know it is safe to suddenly stop taking daridorexant.

Late 2020 stop Effexor 350mg in 2 months by psychiatrist. Withdrawal and new disability (functional reflux/ibs)

Late 2021 stop abilify on my own. Goes perfectly fine.

Late 2022 Effexor 37.5mg

Late 2024 Trying to Taper Effexor again

November 2024 -Stopped amitriptyline in order to switch to Fluoxetine.

December 2024 -Stopped Effexor 56.5mg and switched to Fluoxetine 20mg.

January 2025 -Reduced Fluoxetine 20mg to 10mg.

June 2025 - Started Daridorexant
Late March 2026 - Stopped Daridorexant

Current medications:

-Morning: Fluoxetine 10mg, omeprazole 20mg, famotadine 20mg

-Evening: Omeprazole 20mg, omeprazole 10mg, famotadine 20mg

Still going through withdrawal hell.

@EDP6893 You are free to make your own choices, of course.

I'd also suggest being more careful than that, but again this is simply an opinion and you do not have to heed it.

Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes.
