-_- the pain came back in the last few hours. I am once again going to the toilet multiple times every hour because of the pain. Impossible to sleep.

It is all over for me? Am I NEVER going to recover from this at all? It's been over 6 months. If it keeps happening doesn't that prove I am NOT recovering and I am just getting worse and getting more brain damage? It's not like I have an infection because I did so many tests at the start of all this and they all came back clear.

I can't stop worrying this will never get better. I keep having panic attacks in the night because of this.

I am currently going to the toilet every 5 minutes because of the pain even though there's nothing there.

It seems like it's confirmed my life is over and I was foolish for getting my hopes up that one day i would get better. It's probably going to keep getting worse.

You are healing and slowly recovering, it just can't take longer than we want it to.

There are certain people who have a wave/worsening in 6 months but it's all temporary.

withdrawal average on these forums is around 3 years, obviously it does get better with time, you are only 6 months in,I believe you can still live in withdrawal and do things as you can.

we all believed our life was over, it's the grief stage in the path to acceptance, after a certain amount of time you realize it's not the end of the world.

I believe in you ❤️

Im so sorry for everthing you are going through.

I think you are still experiencing WD from switching amitriptyline and Effexor to Fluoxetine. It was likley a big hit to your system. It would appear you then dropped your Fluoxetine dose from 20mg to 10mg in January 25, this was a big drop. Fluoxetines half life means WD is often delayed so Im guessing what you have been feeling the last 6 months is your body trying to find balance again, ontop of dealing with the switch.

That was a lot to go through, and you are very brave dealing with all this, and then you had to move and have all that stress too. Can't have been easy. You did great!

It can take a really long time for things to settle down, BUT that doesn't mean that it won't. It just always feels like it when in the middle midst of it all.

We are all here for you. Time is your friend. @Lighty made some good points. Coping skills are so important whilst in the throws of WD. Acceptance and distraction so key in surviving this awful journey we are all on. But survive it we will. Together.

Nothing is over for you @EDP6893

Your system regulates itself through all kinds of symptoms and this is one of them.

I suffered badly from this for months straight, awful digestion, endless runs to the toilet, stomach aches and what not and just when I thought I wouldn't get out of it it started to fade, I've been in a relatively good digestive state for a few days now so don't lose hope, it can change at any moment, your system is working hard and it will find balance eventually.

Hang in there, it will get easier.

Iron - liquid, quarter of recommended dose - increased anxiety and burning sensation - stopped after two weeks.

Saffron - started 8.7.26 1 capsule 30mg in the morning - pretty immediate improvement in terms of anxiety and sleep that seems to continue to improve.

@EDP6893 Could you summarise when you started and stopped the Daridorexant?

I hope that things settle down for you.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

Withdrawal isn't a linear thing, you can get easier day and worse days and it flactuates, new symptoms can come even come 1 year into withdrawal.

The thing is tho, the longer you go through it, your average of the good and bad days become better, yeah you can have bad months with a wave and then a month that is a window that is pretty good, but the overall becomes better.

No not at all. Fluoxetines half life is effectively many months. (8/9) and I think caused you delayed worsening/wd. Everyone heals. It’s what the body is designed to do. You have other factors that I’m sure haven’t helped too. Hang in there you’ll stabile eventually.

it's all your withdrawal speaking, nobody knows how long your symptoms will be, but in 99.9% of cases it goes away eventually, the only thing you have to do is accept, accept that you are sick, it's okay to not feel well, you are gonna do your best, and it's all temporary, and `just symptoms`.

You will be good, you have to come to that realization yourself, I can do my best to explain to you, but you will need to comprehend it yourself, that you will be fine, and you will heal, it's just the withdrawal talking about thinks being forever.

It just doesn't make any sense that I am over a year into this protracted withdrawal and it seems like I am just getting worse and everything is falling apart for me.

I’d consider the worsening you felt, oct nov right? almost the start of the wd in some ways. It’s like your hold started then.

it's all your withdrawal speaking, nobody knows how long your symptoms will be, but in 99.9% of cases it goes away eventually, the only thing you have to do is accept, accept that you are sick, it's okay to not feel well, you are gonna do your best, and it's all temporary, and `just symptoms`.

You will be good, you have to come to that realization yourself, I can do my best to explain to you, but you will need to comprehend it yourself, that you will be fine, and you will heal, it's just the withdrawal talking about thinks being forever.

My brain keeps bullying me to go outside and do things, but I feel too unwell to do anything but lay in bed all day.

Because it was going to happen eventually and the prozac just delayed its withdrawal by many months? But either way it feels impossible to manage being forced to go to the toilet constantly. It's taken control of my life.

You shouldn't bully yourself, it's not easy but withdrawal does generate thoughts that are negative, you have to catch the thoughts and just not believe them, and accept them.

Going outside isn't a bad idea if you can do that, go for a walk, be in the sun, etc.

Current Supplements: 6mg melatonin and 133mg magnesium glycinate at night.

Current Medications: Mirtazapine, Lasea (lavender oil) before bed.

------------------------------------------

Tapering: Mirtazapine 15mg, (went compounded) 13.5mg 08/May/2025, 12.1mg 10/July/2025, 15/July/2025 15mg (half tablet), 26/July/2025 14.35mg (moved to dry cutting method) ), 03/Aug/2025 14.6mg, 24/Nov/2025 14.47mg, 29/Jan/2026 14.35mg

Note: Had a lot of issue with degradation with different cutting times and compounded pharmacy which caused withdrawals and a more sensitive nervous system.

If you can't go outside today that's fine, you will go outside when you want to and can go outside.
