Late 2020 stop Effexor 350mg in 2 months by psychiatrist. Withdrawal and new disability (functional reflux/ibs)

Late 2021 stop abilify on my own. Goes perfectly fine.

Late 2022 Effexor 37.5mg

Late 2024 Trying to Taper Effexor again

November 2024 -Stopped amitriptyline in order to switch to Fluoxetine.

December 2024 -Stopped Effexor 56.5mg and switched to Fluoxetine 20mg.

January 2025 -Reduced Fluoxetine 20mg to 10mg.

June 2025 - Started Daridorexant
Late March 2026 - Stopped Daridorexant

08/01/2012 - Paraxotine 20 mg

12/2024- reinstated 5mg after cold turkey.

10/01/2024- 4.79mg (.0716g) holding until further notice........04/17/26 resumed taper 0714g (4.78mg). 05/20/2026- .0712g (4.76mg, .28% cut). 06/09/2026- .0708g (4.73mg .56% cut). 06/30/2026 - .0706g (4.72mg .33%).

Things are really difficult. But I am trying my best to manage. My visual snow is worse as I'm seeing black and white dots in the static. I hope it will go away.

Have you stopped taking daridorexant? If you do please phase it out slowly...you are very sensitive right now.

I've almost had a whole month of no days needing to go to the toilet every hour or more. This is progress for me. I hope the genital pain will go away soon too. That's still been most days.

Unfortunately, whether because of stress or bad luck, my visual snow keeps getting worse since moving out and my body keeps getting weird cramps everywhere in random places.

Month 9 was an amazing window feeling myself for like 33 days, no symptoms..

Month 10, I got hit by old symptoms again. Cortisol, fear, muscle stiffness and pain, dizziness

Month 11, symptoms minimize again. They were on and off ..

Month 12, my sleeping improved and first time in few weeks sleeping untill like 7am..

Month 13, cramps everywhere randomly, cortisol slidly improved and fear gone .

End of month 14, cortisol issues again...two days now sleeping until 230am with intrusive thoughts, head pressure, anxiety on chest area. If I keep eyes open, it will go away, but closing eyes symptoms comes back, stomach issues again..

My GI was great for months....now it's bad which I think it's creating my cortisol issues....

Reflux is hurting massively. Everything hurts a lot. Can't stop binge eating and gaining weight. I feel like I'm going to die soon.

November 2024 Elvanse for ADHD. Anxiety and jaw clenching, stopped after 4 weeks. Felt fine.

January 2025 Medikinet XL

Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 3 weeks. Felt fine

March 2025 Concerta XL Made me depressed and suicidal so stopped after 2 weeks. Felt fine

April-May 2025 Amfexa and Methylphenidate instant release, both only worked for an hour so stopped. Felt fine.

June 2025 Atomoxetine started slow taper. Immediate hot flushing and feeling sluggish.

July-September 2025 Tapered up to 70mg Atomoxetine. Constipation, insomnia, muscle spasms, weird thoughts, mood swings, night sweats, hot flushes, brain fog, dizziness etc

October 2025 rapid taper off Atomoxetine. I also had a GA for shoulder surgery the same week I finished meds.

Ongoing symptoms ever since, but now also trouble swallowing, difficulty passing urine, muscle twitches, depersonalisation, heavy limbs, emotional blunting, apathy, feeling "wired" and robotic, PGAD.

New symptoms February 2026: Nausea and burning head

Supplements: B12, folate and Vit D as all were bordering on deficient.

Bad reactions to CBD oil, Mag glycinate, Mag L.Threonate and Fish Oil

@EDP6893....sorry to hear about that. I have same issues but now minimal. It comes and go now. I can have sugar cravings for a day or two. Then, it minimize it. I bought monk fruit as sweetener in case those cravings comes back. Also, I sometimes gets this none stop eating, but I have replaced many things with vegetables..

It's a hard road but you have been here long and holding....

Keep going. One day, you will see a light ahead of you and will feel great again..

I knew most of this already but I appreciate the attempt to help me.

Late 2020 stop Effexor 350mg in 2 months by psychiatrist. Withdrawal and new disability (functional reflux/ibs)

Late 2021 stop abilify on my own. Goes perfectly fine.

Late 2022 Effexor 37.5mg

Late 2024 Trying to Taper Effexor again

November 2024 -Stopped amitriptyline in order to switch to Fluoxetine.

December 2024 -Stopped Effexor 56.5mg and switched to Fluoxetine 20mg.

January 2025 -Reduced Fluoxetine 20mg to 10mg.

June 2025 - Started Daridorexant
Late March 2026 - Stopped Daridorexant

Current medications:

-Morning: Fluoxetine 10mg, omeprazole 20mg, famotadine 20mg

-Evening: Omeprazole 20mg, omeprazole 10mg, famotadine 20mg

Still going through withdrawal hell.

08/01/2009- Klonopin 1mg, but took only .25.mg when needed before I was out on paraxotine

08/01/2012 - Paraxotine 20 mg

12/2024- reinstated 5mg after cold turkey.

10/01/2024- 4.79mg (.0716g) holding until further notice........04/17/26 resumed taper 0714g (4.78mg). 05/20/2026- .0712g (4.76mg, .28% cut). 06/09/2026- .0708g (4.73mg .56% cut). 06/30/2026 - .0706g (4.72mg .33%).
