Saturday at 06:58 PM2 days I would say no. Serotonin syndrome looks more seriously, but let's ask a psychiatrist. @Sminismoni Was this a serotonin syndrome?I think this is something we can name "sensitivity" or maybe "chemical sensitivity" very common for people with Psych med history. It was not mentioned only on this forum. People reports "reactions" to foods, chemicals, supplement, another med. And have sound sensitivities. Even you did report feeling worse after eating, so that could be something similar. 2009-2010: Sertraline (50 mg) 2011: Escitalopram (10 mg) 2009-2011: tried Olanzapine (5/2.5mg), Quetiapine (50/25mg) and Aripriprazole (low dosage) CT Escitalopram, being free for several moths 2012-2016: Fluoxetine (60 mg) 2016-2017: Venlafaxine (75 mg) 2016: just tried Duloxetine and Maprotiline 2017-2018: Mirtazapine (30/45mg) 2012-2018: Bupropion (300 mg) 2014-2018: Lamotrigine (50/100/150 mg) CT Bupropion, tapering Lamitrogine and Mirtazapine (practically CT, fast tapering)
Sunday at 08:52 AM2 days Author Did anyone felt like their instinctive and natural way of being were somehow blocked in the middle of their actions?Like yesterday there was a party going on… I even feel the instinct of starting to dance, but one second after my mind was like: why are you dancing? Does this feels natural? I tried to keep going, but then that was already on my mind… I feel like there is a blocking in being natural, and doing things just naturally or by instinct. 2019 - 2026 - velafaxine 75mg + sedoxil 1mg14/03/2026 - withdrawal - sedoxil 1 pill each two days until total stop for about two weeks.Velafaxine - 37,5 mg for 1 month until total stop.14/04/2026 - final taper day.tryptophan supplement - 2 months and half. Sunday at 09:19 AM2 days @Healing_s my impression from your posts is that you're caught in a loop of over-analysing your symptoms and thoughts. You've been off of years of use of more than one drug for a few months, and off of a supplement you were reacting negatively to for just a few weeks, and there has already been some progress.I understand that you might feel very strange but you seem able to go to parties and dance etc which is good. These ways in which you are feeling strange are all quite common in withdrawal, it is important to try not to feed the anxiety of constantly analysing how you feel.It is likely that you will improve in time, until then all you can do is look after yourself the best that you can. Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all. Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes. I tried to keep going, but then that was already on my mind…I feel like there is a blocking in being natural, and doing things just naturally or by instinct.I have experienced similar situations many times since I came off my AD.I believe it's because our nervous system is in a sensitised state in which case our mind can be hyperaware, hypersensitive and/or hypervigilant about all kinds of things. We then might overthink and overanalyse thoughts, emotions, sensations, etc.My advice would be to let those thoughts be there and to not engage with them. Welcome and allow them and then switch your focus back to what you were doing which in your case would be dancing. It's not easy but it can be done. As you keep doing this, you teach your brain that it doesn't have to overanalyze or overthink and after a while, it will do this less and less so.I'm pretty sure many people here will relate and you're definitely not alone in this ❤️ 2023-06: started trazodone, 50 mg2023-10: lowered dose to 25 mg2023-11: 0 mg 2023-07-04: started paroxetine, 20 mg2023-07-30: increased dose to 30 mg2023-08-26: lowered dose to 20 mg2024-03-21: lowered dose to 10 mg2024-07-10: lowered dose to 5 mg2024-07-26: 0 mg 2024-08-14: reinstated on another AD, this time 10 mg of escitalopram2024-11-24: lowered dose to 7.5 mg2025-01-15: lowered dose to 5 mg2025-03-01: lowered dose to 3.75 mg (with pill cutter)2025-03-26: lowered dose to 2.5 mg (with pill cutter)2025-04-23: lowered dose to 1.25 mg (with pill cutter)2025-05-24: 0 mg Started Rosuvastatin in October 2024 due to high cholesterol. On a break from this med from April 2026 until July 2026.Started taking Rosuvastatin again at the end of July 2026. You mentioned dancing, but well I feel interrupted in the middle of doing any simple task, like picking an object from the floor. I won't say I can't do it at some point, but the feeling is that mind and body are disconnected. It's a metaphor, because, we know that the mind is also a metaphor, but it describes the things pretty well. I think that happens because something in the body is not functioning well and the whole nervous system reacts by freeze response... Overthinking is the consequence of this body trap. 2009-2010: Sertraline (50 mg) 2011: Escitalopram (10 mg) 2009-2011: tried Olanzapine (5/2.5mg), Quetiapine (50/25mg) and Aripriprazole (low dosage) CT Escitalopram, being free for several moths 2012-2016: Fluoxetine (60 mg) 2016-2017: Venlafaxine (75 mg) 2016: just tried Duloxetine and Maprotiline 2017-2018: Mirtazapine (30/45mg) 2012-2018: Bupropion (300 mg) 2014-2018: Lamotrigine (50/100/150 mg) CT Bupropion, tapering Lamitrogine and Mirtazapine (practically CT, fast tapering)
Yesterday at 12:25 PM1 day Author Yesterday was a more difficult day, fell asleep in the couch from 10h to 11:30, and wake in this sense of not knowing where I was, totally detached from reality. Managed to fall asleep until 01:30h, then I woke up and all the terror movies began, feeling I’m going to stay in this cognitive impairment forever, frozen inside my on mind, forever. This is such a horrible state. Thankfully it didn’t have me panic, just adrenaline rush. I got out of bed and went to the couch…watched tv until 5:30, after that I could get some sleep again, awaking every hour until 9h. this morning felt like my mind had been kidnapped as I stay mostly depressed, reading success stories holding to the small hope there is. Around 12h my mind got back to me, and actually felt the mood swing. I was able to do some tasks. I used to live a life of non worries… I didn’t second guess every step of my life. A headache was just a headache, a stomach ache was just something I ate with no big drama, and I was not a prisioner of my mind. All life innocence was just ripped of from me. How to we come back from this? 😭 2019 - 2026 - velafaxine 75mg + sedoxil 1mg14/03/2026 - withdrawal - sedoxil 1 pill each two days until total stop for about two weeks.Velafaxine - 37,5 mg for 1 month until total stop.14/04/2026 - final taper day.tryptophan supplement - 2 months and half. 15 minutes ago15 min Author Thanks @Chippy i really don’t understand my waves and windows yet… On Sunday, had an awfull night full of terror, yesterday on the afternoon a window opened with mild internal vibration (maybe from all the cortisol in the morning) and the strong sensation of helmet head. Last night only woke up one time around 4 am, because now I need to go to the bathroom every night (never happend before). Woke up and WD wasn’t the first thing in my mind, finally! Returned to work, and most things are mostly normal, besides those mild symptoms. Totally manageable. Like if I picked up my life exactly where I left it. this is surreal. Emotions here, minor DP/DR(like residual), able to focus, and stay hours on the computer, able to get conversations, no hipervigilance. The only thing weird is that when I get hungry a wave of bad nasty head sensation comes up, and then I feel it in my stomach. God, I hope I have the strength to go with the next wave. Because today I feel mostly healed.
