Hi everyone…a little update.

Last few days were good, very good. Things improved very very much:

  • cortisol in the morning was also was slowly going away.

  • General vibration/adrenaline running was very smooth, with moments during the day that there was non.

  • Head swollen feeling was pretty much gone.

  • DR was coming during the day (sometimes, and only in some situations and it was very manageable)

  • I felt like i was the observantes of all situations but most of the time I could engage naturally in most of things. Some things and actions were feeling more fluid.

  • Sleeping was good (waking one time or not waking and able to sleep 7/8 hours)

  • Was feeling more relaxed and I could feel some emotions!

Was feeling like there was really a way out of this. Yesterday, i don’t know if it was the change of context or if maybe i had pushed it with food. I started to feel more anxious, doomed, sleeping was totally dysrupted, was having also this fear of not sleep, and this sense of hypervigilancy was coming with more strengh. Adrenaline is running through my body like crazy. Trying to keep hope this means a big update, but feeling quite low as i was actually starting to see some little moments where I could really enjoy things, and not even remembering about this.

Thats great to hear! Im so happy for you!

Its unfortunate that yesterday was a rougher one for you but all in all it seems like youre going in a really good direction, hold onto those good days!

Unfortunately waves and windows, a real thing in WD, remember how much better you were feeling. You didn't do anything wrong, it is just how this healing progresses, there will be another coming. xxx

It’s really nice to see the other side!!

I had suffer too much with severe DR for the past three months and now i feel that sometimes I cannot unsee it… so i think i was also developing some trauma…because the magic there was once in the world is totally lost. 😔 and i was passionate about living and the world… and after seeing it black and white, empty… i don’t know how to come back safely from it.

But I hope on time things get better.

Hey everyone!

Just keeping and update… been having some good and bad times!

I’m on vacation since last week.. and I think the big improvements came from that indeed… I have been sleeping better…even though mornings are harder… I seem to have more doubting thoughts in the morning, and this sense of doom, need of reassurance, restlessness, and kind of the thinking about the thoughts I have 🤯 it’s exaushting.

during the day things ease and things seem more natural, and feels I am living things.

My emotions seem to have come back, I can laugh and really feel the laugh, I can feel joy by doing things, I have been able to go to the beach, socialize with friends… I could even focus and have fun playing volleyball. So overall things look good.

I have been having moments where things feel really good and moments where things feel really dark, and this thing of over analyzing what I’m doing and thinking about my thoughts its really weird. Feel that somehow I’m living inside my mind. Like if actions dont come really natural. Has anyone experience this?

2019 - 2026 - velafaxine 75mg + sedoxil 1mg

14/03/2026 - withdrawal - sedoxil 1 pill each two days until total stop for about two weeks.

Yes, all the time, all the time! You description is great.

one "normal" random person reacts naturally, but I have to not just thinking over and over again, but then also rethinking about my own thinking... Feels like I have to construct and reconstruct everything inside my mind, and then I react, if I even react.

Thanks for the update @Healing_s

This demon that digs inside our heads, so very common, the system continues the cleaning process long after the zero which expressed in all kinds of fluctuations and symptoms, don't be alarmed by it, just keep accepting, it will continue to improve with time.

Hope the rest of your vacation will be fun with lots of laughter and enjoyment.

Dear @Fullhealing thank you for your strength!

Indeed this doesn’t cause any panic or anxiety. It just makes me stay more introspective…but keeps me in this loop of thinking and instead of living the moment I stay more silent, and looking inside 😔

Hi @Healing_s There's a coping strategy called "Doing What I Came to Do" that may help. Its a type of mindfulness. First, focus on the thing you're doing and what you need to do it. If you're going grocery shopping, tell yourself you're just going shopping. Make a list if you need to--anything to keep you focused. Then, when you start having looping thoughts, check your list and remind yourself you're there to pick up groceries (or whatever you're doing) and focus on that. Don't try to fight the thoughts; just refocus on what you're doing. It can be very effective.

Haha, was my way creepier and more extreme? Yes, as I see you are are doing better when it comes to DP, because you are "switching", so you spent a lot of time on your "smooth" side.

I hope someone will confirm this, but as I see DP and this state of mind can't just WD issue. It happens when body experience stress. But not just random situational anxiety. For instance, if one completely healthy person will suddenly experience serious sleep, she will have DP episodes caused by this... And WD can cause similar physiological stress.

I had DP before meds, on meds and after meds. But I didn't know that it's not "normal" state...

I try to focus, but sometimes it just sticks to my mind. 😔

All of this is very weird, and I know it can be even exaggerated by our fears, but we are so sensitive to these emotions and feelings and sometimes it feels out of our control.

If it’s a physical symptom is more manageable, once is a psychological symptom is more difficult to control.

I hope managing this will be more easy… in time… for me and for all of us.

I really hope all of us can heal after this difficult task and get their lives back and being able to enjoy it again. ❤️

Hi everyone…

Yesterday was the first day I felt totally myself again in the past 4,5 months.

No DPDR… the world is looking good things feel familiar! No intrusive thoughts!

I was able to socialize like before, having a little fun, with some minor moments where I needed to take some time to pause.

I have been sleeping better some nights…

This night, I wook up at 5 am, and was not able to fall asleep, so things are not going so well… even if I stayed in bed with my eyes shutted, mind was always running thoughts of worries, feeling this inner restlessness, and adrenaline rushing through my body.

I’m able to see how much things have improved, but when it comes the feeling is overwhelming, and it feels like I cannot calm myself.

I used to have all things figured out, I was confident of myself, life was good with minor worries and now it seems I break every time I have a little setback, and feels like the end of the world. 😔

I don’t get panic like before, but still hits hard.

Oh this makes me feel so sad…

I know it is hard. Learning to focus on the day and have hope for the future is important. We all have a sad days where we wish this wasn't how it is, we have to think about what helps and what doesn't help, feeling sad about something we can't control won't help, learning to sit with it and have faith a better day is coming will. Acceptance is key. xxxx

Well I guess I’m having the full experience on WD and my hormonal fluctuations period. Didn’t think this would hit so hard. Really strong mood swing! Pain and the increase of this inner trembling (I feel this inner vibration very strong but I’m able to sit and stay still).

After this morning depression and sense of doom, mind feels clear now, not feeling doubtful and feeling fully capable of cope and accept this as the simple symptoms they are.

Just another healing update, meaning big improvement is coming.

Wishing you all a lot of strength and faith to this day!

Just keeping an update in my log.

Past days been feeling things are changing a little bit… I feel that the way of thinking is somehow changing, the way it processes external information is improving… everything is starting to feel more natural, not manual mode, it feels things are starting to have connection, body and mind.

Still have this internal vibration, muscular tension (head, neck and back), swollen head, and still have some high response with some foods.

Sleeping is really improving, it’s easy to fall asleep, and I can sleep for 7/8hours straight, sometimes awaking one time, but able to fall asleep right back.

Right after awaking it is still difficult, having worried thoughts or scary thoughts, but i am able to stay in bed for a while until i get up.

As the day goes things get better, engaging in small conversations, doing tasks. There are some moments where I still get to silent, introspective and looking for answers. But there are moments where definitely I don’t even remember about WD.

Overall the progress is really great.

We can and we will heal.

Hey everyone… just need your expertise on some details my mind is trying to figure out about past events, cause I think I might had a serotonin syndrome crises.

As written in my signature after stoping venlafaxine and sedoxil in April, I experienced mainly DPDR. In may I started taking the tryptophan and mainly DPDR, plus some anxiety were the major issues.

After a consult with a holistic doctor, she told me to take another suplement for “stress control”, which I combined 2 capsules with one capsule of tryptophan on 18th July. That was the day when major sleeping problems have started, plus DPDR. one week later I was having this huge sleeping crises with the blood sugar spikes, and this sense of hearing my own thoughts very very loud - hallucinations (maybe I don’t really what to call it), cognitive impairment.

Was this a serotonin syndrome??

I know it changes nothing indeed, but just wanted to clear this from my head.
