Tbh. It’s why I do t personally do success stories. I’m aware how different we all are. I think the take away from it, is that even later in life you can heal, and put your life back together. As I said before, concentrate on today and give no thought of the past or for the future. You can’t know what happens next, none of us do. We do know your nervous system will heal, and you’ll get your life back.

people who are on these forums tend a lot of times to be the most severe cases, as people who have it not as bad, either don't arrive here or leave quickly, the people who tend to stay more are usually with the severe cases, there are people who have it easier and etc.

As everyone has already said, try to concentrate on the present, nothing else exists although in our minds it certainly does let alone in withdrawal mind with his awful content.

It won't work at times but aim for it with the clear knowledge that you will succeed in the end! you are much stronger than you feel atm!

I know it's very challenging, it's definitely a work in progress for all of us.

Hope things get easier for you soon.

You are not a mess, just like the rest of us, you're on a journey. @Lighty wasn't saying you were a worse case or anything, he was just pointing out that often people on here, are not a good judgement of how things will go, as the ones who post can be worse cases. But, they all made it anyways! You will too, no matter the trajectory.

Either way. Forget all of that. One day at a time. Accept, distract and BELIEVE you will heal. Because you will!!!! 🙂

Hi all - is it really possible that this drug at 2.3 mg and the taper etc.. is making me feel so scared and depressed and sobbing and like I’m going to die.  Is that really possible and normal?  I haven’t moved out of my bed except to eat all weekend which is pretty standard and I’m not able to go do anything and am full to the max with fear and thoughts that everything is going to falllapart. Is this actually normal I feel like I’m worse off than everyone going through this (not minimizing anyone’s experience at all) just scary when you feel like you’re way off the deeper end.

So sorry you are in such a difficult place still, my heart goes out to you but completely normal within the abnormal of this journey..

Low doses are especially brutal, I and many others can attest to that so it is not surprising.

Just keep surviving the moment until it passes, it will eventually.

Indeed insane how powerful these chemicals are, they completely alter consciousness and turn everything into chaos, you're in it now so it's hard for you to feel otherwise, but wait, it will get better, a window will come and will turn things into positive, just stay brave and strong and it's guaranteed to come!

I know it's very hard to see through the suffering but try to accept that it's the result of a system that's working overtime and doing a thorough cleaning, there's a lot of dirt that's coming to the surface which is expressed in the current chaos.

It's all temporary, guaranteed!

22 Aug 2025 Panic attack and intrusive thoughts → took Xanax 0.25mg once; psychiatrist advised reinstating Prozac 10mg daily and Wellbutrin XL 150mg. Within a few days I felt somewhat better.

Between 22 Aug 2025 and 14 Nov 2025: a handful of times (exact dates unclear) during panic episodes, I took an extra Prozac 20mg and Xanax 0.25mg. Last Xanax dose: 1/4 of 0.25mg tablet on 10 Jan 2026.

I was also taking supplements and Ozempic (last dose: 06 Nov 2025), which I believe contributed to my destabilization despite previously tolerating them. I had not yet found the withdrawal communities and continued to experience panic and intrusive thoughts, so my psychiatrist advised dose increases:

01 Oct 2025 Wellbutrin XL 300mg (+100%) (brief increase; caused palpitations → reduced)
21 Oct 2025 Wellbutrin XL 150mg (-50%)resumed and held
01 Nov 2025 Prozac 15mg (+50%) (brief increase; worsened palpitations/SI → reduced)
14 Nov 2025 Prozac 10mg (-33%)resumed and held

Since 21 Oct 2025: holding Wellbutrin XL 150mg
Since 14 Nov 2025: holding Prozac 10mg

After this point, I focused on eliminating other medications and supplements, which is also when I found the withdrawal communities.

My biggest fear is that any improvements are miles away as I’m not even at zero and all this talk of people suffering after zero makes me feel like the worst is yet ti come and that any report is miles / years away

2014 to 2022 - 25 mg zoloft/day

Oct 2022 to Jan 2024 - 10 mg Lexapro/day

Feb 2024 to March 2024 - 25 mg zoloft/day

April 2024 to May 2024 - 10 mg Lexapro/day

May 2024 to present Prozac - tapered from 20mg starting dose - lots of cut and holds

Down to 1.3 mg as of 09/01/26

Also added 1mg Klonopin/day April 2025 to 6/10/26 then dropped to .875 mg 6/11/26

6/25/26 dropped klonopin to .75mg

I get why that scares you, but that’s your anxiety talking, not reality. You’re not even at zero yet—your nervous system is still adjusting, so it’s way too early to predict the future. A lot of people actually improve as they stabilize, not the other way around.

  • Current medications: Fluoxetine 4 mg, Wellbutrin IR 150 mg, Tirosint 88 Mcg, Metformin 1500 mg (500 in the morning/noon, 1000 at night)

01 Jan 2025 Prozac 40mg; Wellbutrin XL 450mg
01 Feb 2025 Prozac 30mg (-25%); Wellbutrin XL 450mg
01 Mar 2025 Prozac 20mg(-33%); Wellbutrin XL 450mg
01 Apr 2025 Prozac 20mg; Wellbutrin XL 300mg (-33%)
01 May 2025 Prozac 20mg; Wellbutrin XL 150mg (-50%)
15 Jun 2025 Prozac 10mg(-50%); Wellbutrin XL 150mg

01 Aug 2025 Prozac 10mg every other day; Wellbutrin ~75mg (splitting XL 150mg)

Prozac (2026)

  • 4/1/26: 10 → 9.75 mg (-2.5%)

  • 4/7: 9.75 → 9.5 mg (-2.6%)

  • ~4/23: 9.5 → 9 mg (-5.3%)

  • 5/2: 9 → 8.2 mg (-8.9%)

  • 5/10: 8.2 → 6.8 mg (-17.1%)

  • 5/21: 6.8 → 5.8 mg (-14.7%)

  • 6/4: 5.8 → 5 mg (-13.8%)

  • 6/28: 5 → 4.3 mg (-14%)

  • 7/22: 4.3 → 4 mg (-7%)

  • 8/4: switched to commercial liquid, same 4 mg dose

    HOLD

Wellbutrin (2026)

  • 8/13: 150 → 75 mg/day (-50%)

  • 8/13-8/15: 75 mg/day

Others' experience is not indicative of yours, there are many who experience massive improvement immediately after quitting but your mind will wander to catastrophe now as you are in withdrawal cloudy state, that's just how it is with these horrible chemicals, that's what they do.

Don't believe what your mind tells you, accept that you can't trust your mind during this time, it's like a grumbling, annoying old person who complains and finds faults in everything..

just keep surviving and it will get better with time.

Some people quickly recover on 0mg.

It's not possible to predict, but the important thing to take from that is that there is hope.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

Perhaps you should consider this post an artistic work of fiction written for entertainment purposes.
