Sadly, some doctors pile on one drug after another to counteract the effects of another drug. But it really doesn't make any difference. Again, as @Chippy and I have said, do not compare your journey to anyone else's. Your suffering is unique but no worse than anyone else's. Your recovery will be unique but no more difficult or easier than anyone else's. May 3May 3 Just now, SpiroC said:@Chippy @mstimc60 - also wanted to ask , why are mornings and afternoons so hard and then evenings it’s like 10% better ?That's very common and perfectly natural. Its about our body clocks and hormone levels. Our bodies give us a burst of cortisol in the morning to wake us up. When our nervous systems are already hyper-alerted, that extra cortisol feeds our anxiety. Acceptance can help with that because you know its coming and it will fade. Don't fight it--that just gives the feelings more power. You heal regardless of what you do. It’s very natural to look into wd and learn more, especially early on. I did the same thing. If it brings you comfort than that’s fine, it did me for a while until I tired of it. If you think it stresses you out, then it it’s time to distract yourself with other things. May 3May 3 Just now, SpiroC said:@Chippy @mstimc60 do you think that I’m making myself worse by constantly thinking and reading and researching about it?Very admirable that you ask that question! When I was in WD, I had terrible health anxiety. I was constantly researching supposed symptoms. When you research a symptom, the worst possible thing will come up first. Then I'd run to my doctor who'd tell me it was, at most, something minor (or usually nothing at all). When I got home and looked up the more mundane explanation, I'd see just how common it was. I finally learned to stop the obsessive research. Our anxious minds find what they want to find, and its usually the worst possible thing. As @Chippy said, it depends how you approach it and if it helps. Your WD and recovery are uniquely yours. Just know thousands have been on the same journey and have recovered, as you will. If you find the videos and research triggering, and you think you are over focused on your symptoms this may be an unhealthy thing. If you are just engaged in the community and gaining support comfort and advocacy through your time then I think it can be really helpful. May 6May 6 As @Chippy said, yes to both. Stabilising on drugs can look different for everybody, but symptoms like those easing can and does happen whilst taking a stable dose of psychiatric drugs for those who do manage to stabilise. Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all. I thought your plan was to hold and wait for some stablity, then decide what to do with your doses? This was a big drop in dose, some can manage large cuts of a benzos, some can not, your nervous system is anything other than stable from what I understand, so it was a bit of a risk. Also Clonazepam should really be dosed twice a day as you were doing, especially when tapering and at lower doses. I haven’t touched anything else since April.Sure, just reducing your dose out of the blue whilst not stable was a big move. Could cause you more issues, you should not make rash choices with your doses and make careful considered moves. I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice.
