Fullhealing: Paxil withdrawal

Featured Replies

Very helpful dear @Fullhealing .

You will get through. I can so relate to doing it alone, however to find someone that really gets it and is supportive would be pretty rare perhaps.

I feel for you with your aged Jackie and Spicy. It is just hell that feeling of not being able to cope with them when for so many years you have done with such confidence and ease. It really is a bitter pill to swallow.

The anticipation of it is sheer torture. When it came to act I did. You will too.

Please hold on, I know you will get through. Pleased the anti histamine gave some relief.

You are in my heart and thoughts. 🩷xxx

On Paxil since 1995. Seroquel added 2014 after withdrawal crash. History of too-fast tapers/reinstatements.

21 April 2025 taper two drugs at once

Paxil 4% Seroquel 3.5% per month

that ended up being too much and changed to one drug at a time

13 Jul 2025: 4% Paxil cut

29 Jul 2025: 5% Paxil cut

6 Aug 2025: began hold

Oct 2025: changed from liquid to powder and accidentally took 10x Seroquel dose for 2 weeks by mistake

23 Oct 2025: returned to liquid with accidental 4.7% Seroquel cut

 Holding both drugs to stablize

Holding at Paxil 8.25 mg / Seroquel 6.5

Paxil taper

22/4 8.23  29/4 8.20  5/5 8.15 13/5 8.05  3/6 8 11/6 7.95 18/7 7.5

How are you doing today, my dear?

Words fail to capture how unimaginably brutal these past two months have been!!

While battling the relentless storm of akathisia I had to say goodbye to my sweet blind cat Spicy today after four harrowing days in the hospital.

My sweet rabbit despite all my efforts continues to fade leaving me no choice but to put him down as well as my elderly Jackie with his advanced alzheimer that barely eat in the last few days.

Trying to navigate these soul-crushing choices while enduring withdrawal is a kind of agony I never knew existed so I'm going to crash for a while but I'll survive and find my strength again even if it feels completely impossible atm.

Thank you dear friend for thinking of me while facing your own struggles, appreciate it so much and wish I could give back but I can't now, I'm truly sorry!

Sending my love 🤍
