Hi Finni. I really feel for you for what you are going through. Remember you have to make decision for your self about your tapering speed. It does seem you are having a severe reaction to the mirtazapine. I was in that boat. I know its a horrible place to be and such a tough decision. But weigh it up carefully as there is no one correct approach.

Do you also have dread, impending doom and those type of symptoms?

Deep deep primal doom /feeling like I’m not going to make it (to put it mildly)

On August 16th I experienced dancing electric feelings deep in my spine that made me feel like I was losing my mind

It lasted all day long until around eight or 8:30 PM. I finally could relax and then I took mirtazapine at 9:15 PM and everything cranked back up very intensely for about two hours until I went to sleep.

The next day was my birthday and I was screaming hysterically for hours feeling like I was dying from the agitation.

Yesterday was another day like August 16 and once again after I took my dose things cranked up even more and I didn’t go to sleep until around midnight last night.

Now it’s the next morning, and I can feel my body starting to ramp up.

My vestibular symptoms have been off the chart since August 16 and they do get worse after my dose

Trying to talk to Adele framer again and she’s saying that she needs my daily logs put together on one document and I don’t know how to do that. I’ve sent her each document separately so I don’t know why she just can’t print them off and have them all together.

And she’s also saying I can make an appointment with her, but she might not be available since she’s recovering from surgery.

I’m feeling very doomed and not knowing what to do

I'm so, so sorry for your suffering @Finni. Just from my perspective of having followed your thread for the last five months or so it does seem like your CNS is incredibly sensitive and every attempt to make a change has made you much worse, so it seems like a very, very long hold is likely the way to go. I'm sorry, I wish there was a much faster way to relieve this for you.

I'm glad you're still in contact with Adele, hopefully she can provide you with some comfort and insight when she's able.

When I first started posting here, I was so, so much better than I am now. Should have never even messed with 15 mg dose.

I can't seem to change my thoughts when in such primal survival fear.

If I didn’t react so so unbelievably to even small changes, I would be trying to get off fast, believe me!

Mirtazapine is definitely playing a part here. I get immediate reactions after dosing.

I truly don’t know how to compile my PDF reports into one report

I’ve lost brain power in the last month

The most distressing things for me right now:

1. Increased vestibular dysfunction - downright scary with floor feeling like it’s swinging, floors look slanted; never just still anymore - bouncing, rocking, swaying sensations (vestibular has been locked on since about August 16th)

2. Increased inner akasthisia, sometimes all day from deep dancing electricity that makes me feel like I’m losing my mind

3. More activation from same Mirtazapine dose at night- after a day of aka especially, my body cranks up activation after dose to the point of agitation for 2-3 hours after dose, then very light sleep

4. Very dark thoughts and dpdr; very foggy and distant

5. More deep burning than ever before

6. More deep, deep pounding twisting terror than ever before (takes my breath away)

7. Loss of appetite and ability to shower, cook small meals

Huge fear that mirt has become more adverse! Yet I can’t make a change

~ This fear is making acceptance really hard because this truly might need to be fixed somehow.

I’ve been staying with my elderly mom, but she broke her hip 5 weeks ago.
