Chippy: Short Term use of Mirtazapine WD after CT

Featured Replies

Hi @Chippy Yes I very nearly got a VFR crossrunner it was the perfect style for me, could flat foot it as well.

But never happened, also looked at 1200 VFR crosstourer, same engine as my VFR 1200F, only detuned to 130bhp

Problem today, is they are ALL good and we are spoiled for choice. If I was a millionaire I would have 20.

Pipe dreams.

Take care,   B.👍

  • Thanks bud. Ups and downs.    Slept ok. 5 hours straight then another choppy 1.5-2. Feel rested. Heads burning again.    Yesterday felt tired all day. No burning brain. There’s a pattern

I agree! Enjoy the summer-window! Can you go swimming? If I’m able to go, I can feel that it somehow does me good every time. I have read about people doing cold plunges for withdrawal symptoms. To me

Yes addictive isn’t it. I will admit to 4 at once at one point and often 2 🫣 but found it too much to deal with! Just enjoyed it all so much. Not just the riding but the tinkering about building. Stripping forks back. Hell I’ve had bikes down to bare frame and rebuilt them. So much fun at the time.

yes the crossrunner was great being a shorty as I am!

Hey Mate

Im ok bud. Slept fine. 6 hours straight through. Would love a bit more but we mustn’t be greedy. 🤷‍♂️ Honestly grateful for the shift. Much better. Time will fix the rest.

Yesterday was ok. But nauseous in the morning but still a 6/10 then 7 then it just pushed into 8 in the evening.
Ive been feeling some shifts this last month. I’ve not mentioned them as I could really describe them. Subtle. Like last night I felt like I was coming back online slightly. Like I could feel a sense of good to alive. Subtle but there.

Time time time oh so much time

Wonderful to hear @Chippy

Small improvement is huge progress, very glad for you!

As you said, time and more time.. we will get there eventually.

1998 forced on cipramil *no anxiety/depression background*

Over the years all kinds of SSRI/SNRI/antipsychotics/stabilizers due to apparently side effects/withdrawal

Many attempts to quit over the years with failure (extremely rapid taper followed by doctors' guidens)

Current attempt-Paxil 20 mg:

6/24 20 mg to 5 mg-severe AKA

9/24 Increase to 20-AKA continues

10/24 stopped completely-AKA out of control

11/24 Zoloft bridge attempt-25 mg to 75 mg+Seroquel-AKA continued-stopped them CT.

12/24 Back on Paxil 10mg (0.1789g)-some stabilization-from here tapered by about 30% each time (don't remember doses and dates).

2025 - 7.10 0.0558g (3.11mg)/7.11 3% 0.0541g (3.02mg)/4.12 1% 0.0535g (2.98mg)

Thanks 🙏 @Fullhealing fingers crossed. So non linear all this so I try not to be too hopeful in the short term. Long term however I am very optimistic. Bless you for the encouragement. Cxx

Hell @Chippy Sounds good, so you are mechanical minded well and truly then. Here's a funny one for you then.

I fixed a centre stand on the GSX650F  I toured Scotland on. Now I had watched how to on Youtube, but clever me

thought I could get the retaining spring on by hand. WELL lying on my back arm threaded trough the rear wheel, bike

obviously just on the side stand an no wheels chocked, I ended up with the bike on top of me with almost a broken arm.

So after wriggling out somehow, back in and on the laptop, watched the clip again, back out and in less than 5 minutes

it was on. SO moral of the story it DO it like you have been SHOWN. Good bike that. 130mph on a good straight.

Cheap and cheerful. So yes I do what I can, Youtube is a winner, can save you a packet.

Take care,      B.👍

Yes @Chippy The late Joey Dunlop used to work on and set up his own race bike,

he never trusted another mechanic, do it yourself, you KNOW it's done.

Oh another silly one for you. The first trip up Scotland on GSX650F I was based at Beauly near Inverness.

Anyway met a Guy from the Orkneys, we had good crack and swapped numbers.

Well fast forward 3 month and I was up again, on a r1200rt. Now I did the Applecross run first so stayed at

Fort William 2 nights as it's not too far from there. So early morning from Fort William it was up to the John O'Groats

to catch a ferry to the Orkneys.

So quite a trek, well I get's to Kirkwall and decide to fill the bike up at a fuel station there. My hotel was about 6 miles

away from Kirkwall. Well anyway almost got to the hotel, and the bike was sputtering, not much at first but as I parked

up it conked. Well I put my luggage in the Hotel room got booked in, and went out and tried the bike again, nothing.

So the girl behind the bar got Kirkwall garage on the phone and she asked if I had a receipt, no I said £12 on pump 8.

Oh she said is your motorbike diesel !!!!!!!! Well no RAC on Orkneys. So I rang the guy Alex I had met at Beauly and

within an hour he was out in a pickup, with some of his mates, empty fuel drum and another with petrol and we

got it drained out and filled up with petrol.

Now we didn't get it running that night, it got dark on us and the battery got low, but next morning a guy working

on a boat had a spare battery and jump leads and within minutes and a big cloud of smoke she was running like

a good one again. They couldn't do ENOUGH for you up there. BRILLIANT people. Couldn't have been much further                                     from home on that one. Brilliant week after that.

Take care,     B.

Bless you mate. Don’t worry about me you’ve got a lot to deal with today. Good of you to post here.

It’s ok. I got about 4.5 hours and woke feeling ok. Was disappointed to see that but I did eventually go back to sleep so was ok in the end. Bit off as ever first thing. See how the day pans out.

Yesterday kinda a 6/10. Main thing was the fairly bad burning brain all day. Not nice but it is what it is. Also felt okish inside but the cold wind and possibly brightness of outside wasn’t so nice on the face. I don’t understand why. It’s often like this.

Slowly crawling my way to healed. 🐌 🥷

Hey @Chippy thanks for helping in creating this website it's a great job done .

On Paxil since 1995. Seroquel added 2014 after withdrawal crash. History of too-fast tapers/reinstatements.

21 April 2025 taper two drugs at once

Paxil 4% Seroquel 3.5% per month

that ended up being too much and changed to one drug at a time

13 Jul 2025: 4% Paxil cut

29 Jul 2025: 5% Paxil cut

6 Aug 2025: began hold

Oct 2025: changed from liquid to powder and accidentally took 10x Seroquel dose for 2 weeks by mistake

23 Oct 2025: returned to liquid with accidental 4.7% Seroquel cut

 Holding both drugs to stablize

Holding at Paxil 8.25 mg / Seroquel 6.5

Paxil taper

22/4 8.23  29/4 8.20  5/5 8.15 13/5 8.05  3/6 8 11/6 7.95 18/7 7.5
