April 21Apr 21 Author Update 1:30 AMSo a hellish tsunami has been going on for a few days now, stuck like a bone in my throat no matter what I do, so I let it be and contain it..Today forced myself to work and though I was staring at the screen trying to connect my chaotic brain cells and hardly being productive I was proud that I moved myself a little, from there I had a second session with the therapist, this time I decided to meet at her place, the trip was challenging, the Waze app felt angry and shouted instructions in gibberish so with quite a few mistakes I finally arrived late, the session itself was all over as my mind, I let off a lot steam, can barely remember what I said, it was charged and confused but she was containing and heartwarming. The return was easier, likely due to releasing some burden. When I got home I was exhausted and fell asleep for a few hours until recently.Atm, still very charged.Physically, the headaches are gone but digestive problems and stomach aches since yesterday.. not really surprising, symptoms keep coming only to be replaced by others.Tough but we got through Pharaoh, we will get through this too.I can only hope for an easier day tomorrow. April 22Apr 22 Dearest @Fullhealing , some wise words from one of my new heroes Whitney Dafoe who has struggle with ME/CFS since he was 22. He is now bedbound and has been totally isolated for many of those years due to nervous overload. I love the last sentence. You are so strong. ❣️We also endure symptoms that are incredibly painful, unjust, degrading, inhumane, and deeply traumatizing. But from this suffering we have found something within ourselves that we did not know existed before; A powerful strength to endure and survive. And a realization of just how badly we want to live and and experience this life. Most healthy people spend most of their time trying to escape the reality of their lives. ME/CFS patients spend most of their lives crawling, begging, inch by inch pulling themselves over hot coals just to have a chance of feeling alive again. We have found an inner strength and an understanding of the splendid magnificence of life that few people in the world have. Sept 1993 Began paroxetine 20 mg for anxiety and depression- worked like a charm. 1st taper - Aug 1995 tapered over 3 weeks before getting pregnant- great at first, crashed at one month. White knuckled it through 2 miscarriages. Spring 1996 (?) Reinstated paroxetine 20 mg. 2nd taper- Spring 2008 tapered off paroxetine over 4 months. Summer 2008 crashed horribly, nearly incapacitated by WD; Summer 2008-Summer 2009 tried 4 different ADs, none as effective as paroxetine. Summer 2009 Reinstated 20 mg paroxetine, not as effective as previously. 3rd taper- Jun 19, 2019 began 10 mg paroxetine, 10 mg fluoxetine for one week. Jun 26 20 mg fluoxetine, 5 mg paroxetine for one week. Jul 3- 20 mg fluoxetine + lorazepam (0.5 mg) as needed up to 2x/day. Aug 12- 30 mg fluox; Sept 3- .5 mg clonazepam daily; end lorazepam; Sept 5- 40 mg fluox; End of 2019- returned to paroxetine 20 mg/day most of the year, 30mg/day in the winter. BEGIN 4th TAPER ATTEMPT: Jul 13 2025- 30 -> 25 mg; 10 Sept -> 22.5mg; 3 Oct -> 20 mg; 10 Oct -> hold 2 weeks; 2 Nov -> 19.5 mg; 9 Nov -> 19 mg; 16 Nov -> hold 1 week; 22 Nov -> 18.6 mg; 30 Nov -> 18.2 mg; 7 Dec -> hold 1 week; 14 Dec -> 17.8 mg; 21 Dec -> 17.5 mg; 28 Dec -> 17.1 mg; 4 Jan 2026 -> 16.7 mg -> hold 2 weeks ; 28 Jan -> 16.4 mg; 1 Feb -> 16.0 mg; 8 Feb -> 15.7 mg; 15 Feb -> hold 2 weeks; 1 Mar -> 15.5 mg; 8 Mar -> 15.2 mg; 15 Mar -> hold; 5 Apr -> 14.9. April 22Apr 22 1 hour ago, Fullhealing said:Just wondering what is ME/CFS?Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is a long-term, complex medical condition that affects multiple body systems. It’s often misunderstood because symptoms can vary widely and don’t always show up on standard tests. What it feels likeThe hallmark is profound fatigue that isn’t improved by rest and is often made worse by activity. A key feature is something called Post-Exertional Malaise (PEM)—after even small physical or mental effort, symptoms can flare up hours or days later.Other common symptoms include:“Brain fog” (difficulty thinking, concentrating, or remembering)Unrefreshing sleepMuscle or joint painHeadachesDizziness or feeling faint when standing (linked to Orthostatic Intolerance)Sensitivity to light, sound, or temperatureCausesThe exact cause isn’t fully understood. Research suggests a mix of factors:Immune system dysfunctionNervous system abnormalitiesPossible viral triggers (some cases begin after infections)Energy metabolism problems at the cellular levelThere’s no single test for ME/CFS—diagnosis is usually based on symptoms and ruling out other conditions.SeverityIt ranges widely:Mild: able to work or study with difficultyModerate: reduced independenceSevere: mostly houseboundVery severe: bedridden and needing full-time careManagement (no cure yet)Treatment focuses on managing symptoms:Pacing (carefully balancing activity and rest to avoid PEM)Sleep supportPain managementTreating related issues like orthostatic intolerancePsychological support (for coping—not as a cure)Some approaches like graded exercise therapy (GET) have become controversial, and guidance has shifted away from pushing patients to increase activity beyond their limits.RecognitionME/CFS is recognized by organizations like the World Health Organization as a neurological disease, and guidelines in the UK from National Institute for Health and Care Excellence emphasize individualized care and pacing. For you @Fullhealing xxxאנצפלומיאליטיס מיאלגית / תסמונת התשישות הכרונית (ME/CFS) היא מחלה כרונית ומורכבת המשפיעה על מערכות רבות בגוף. April 22Apr 22 Author Update 9:30pmAt the morning I forced myself to do some gardening, my mood fluctuated but it wasn't extremely terrible, while I was working an angry branch decided to give me a full-force knockout between the cheek and the eye so now I'm bruised and swollen, lovely.. anyways, did some more gardening and then in the blink of an eye without any trigger, boom, the big bang, if there was still a bit of desire for something it completely disappeared and replaced by morbidities and a terrible catastrophy, no matter what I tried, meditation, breathing exercises, positive thinking it didn't leave and continued to bite hard so I turned myself off for a few hours in a very vivid and sweaty sleep, woke up completely upside down and unfortunately still there..What's going on, delayed reaction to the reduction, raging hormones, so brutal!Trying my best not to give in to those chimicalthoughts, let them be, not to hold with the knowing that it's temporary, it must be, everything passes and this too, but gosh the power of it.. unbelievable!
