I have a history of serotonin syndrome, so when my symptoms were over the top Saturday morning, I went.

Agitation, high blood pressure, legs felt stiff and spongy…

Of course they just look at me like I’m crazy and anxious.

They offered Ativan, but I refused due to my history

They also offered to get me to psychiatric hospital (where my mirt dose was increased in Nov 2025 and I got worse)

@Finni My heart goes out to you 💔....Im definitely not telling you to do this but have you ever taken your dose at a different time and seen whether these symptoms still appear the same time afterwards 🤔....

I think my doctor supposed to call me, but I don’t have an appointment.

If my Doctor and I decide I need to start tapering, I wonder if my body would notice if I went from .1026 g to .1024 g.

I’m just documenting so that I can go back and look

I’m having one of those overly medicated- feeling, hazy, floaty, weird electricity pounding in my head and body kind of days.

I slept some last night with activation going on underneath it and woke up, feeling incredibly dizzy and very out of it. I’m still kind of out of it, but with a lot of head pressure and electricity and pounding. Terror surges at times, especially around noon and now afternoon., Head presssure feels clamped down and weird with electricity in face, hands, feet.

I wish I knew what was what.

Could be both withdrawal and a paradoxical reaction @Finni no clear answer unfortunately and with this constant uncertainty it's even more brutal, struggling with that too.

anyways the road is down, it's going to be tough but you will get through it!

Keep on sharing, great both as an indication and to let off steam which always helps a little.

I hope you find relief so very soon, such an awful experience.

@Finni Im sorry I missed you yesterday, I hope today is better for you. As Fullhealing said, it is hard to know what is causing what when the nervous system is dysfunctional. The only tell tell signs are in the timing of the dose really, IMO.

Very rough evening with a lot of SI and despair because of physical symptoms

Took mirtazapine at my usual time and felt some activation before going to sleep. Woke around 2 AM with a pounding, horrible headache. It just kept rising and my whole tailbone and body are also pounding and burning.

My head is pounding so hard and things feel like they’re burning so bad that I keep going back to SI.

So sorry @Finni wishing you huge relief, gosh you deserve it!

What is your plan ahead?

When I tried to reduce a month ago, things got so much worse and then on Saturday I stupidly took a little tiny bit of propranolol and I feel like that made me worse too, so I don’t know what’s what anymore

I really want to live. I just want to be out of this horrible hell.

I get it, feels like endless hell and the uncertainty makes it even more brutal but others have gone through it successfully so you are no exception, with all the suffering you will get through it, you will live and good @Finni we all will.

I will pray that whatever you choose in the end will bring you some blessed relief.

I just don’t know how I’m going to live through this.

You are already doing it despite the unbearable suffering and you will continue to do so.

It will not be the same intensity all the time, it will change, hold on to it and persevere, you'll get through it.
