You're only a few months out from taking meds. Its very likely you're experiencing withdrawal exacerbated by your focus on the "what-ifs" and fear of not recovering. You need to start working on your thought habits so that you don't catastrophize every fearful thought. We're all here to help you through it.

can this also be just inmense fear right now and that the withdrawal is already gone?

Oh no you are certainly suffering from drug injury not just 'WD' and your nervous system will likely take some time to settle down. This period of healing can be much longer than is fair or we would like, but healing is happening. Try to remind yourself this is all wd/injury, say it to yourself like a mantra. 'This is just WD, and I am strong enough to get through today' use this as many times as you need to each day.

As @mstimc60 said it is so important to recognise this is WD and not add any '2nd fear' to the mix.

Every day you say you can't cope, but every day you are here still saying it again, this proves you are WAY stronger than you think! Try to re-frame this thought. 'This is the hardest thing I have ever dealt with, but as tough as it is I can cope with it whilst my body heals', this statement is more helpful and more accurate than what your WD brain makes you want to say/think.

What you're going through is not "normal", or at least, certainly not natural. I think deep down you know this, and that's why you're here, looking for answers.

What we can say, is that your experience could actually be called "normal" by the unlucky few who are harmed by these drugs. We know this, because many of us have experienced the same or similar.

Many have then gone on to improve in time, and recover.

You're in the extremely difficult months in the immediate aftermath of a bad adverse reaction, with several drugs in the mix. It's immensely tough but all you can do is grit your teeth and keep surviving through it until it gets better, because it can and does get better.

As the others have said, it's incredibly hard to go through, but your body is healing and you are strong enough to get through this.

Nothing I say is medical advice, it is simply my opinion. I am an anonymous person on an internet forum with no relevant qualifications other than being badly harmed by a drug. For all you know, I could be an idiot. You are making your own decisions and part of that is deciding how much to listen to my opinion, if at all.

As @Chippy said, you should respect your strength and let it carry you through this awful period in your life. As I've said before your anxious mind needs to maintain control and it will keep you in a constant state of panic to do it. Positive affirmations like the one Chippy suggested can be powerful tools to overcome the panic you're feeling.

• July and August 2022: psilocybin microdosing

• End of August 2022: medium dose psilocybin

• January 2023reinstated Zoloft 50 mg (but probably experinenced adverse reaction/tolerance/poop-out)

@caitlinnathanie If the defficiency is small then I wouldn't add anything to upset an already sensitive system. Repeat blood tests every month and see if the situation changes. If the defficiencies get worse then supplement if necessary and by that point perhaps you will feel a little better and it will be easier to supplement. Of course, I am not a doctor and this is just my opinion based on my experience.

but you need your vitamins to heal right? if you have a deficiency its harder for your system to heal as it takes also things from the vitamins and minerals in the body.. :(

@caitlinnathanie That is logical. But as we are in a very sensitive state we can react badly even to something that is supposed to help us, so that might create a setback in the healing process.

If you're going to try supplements first start with one thing (e.g. vitamin D) in a small dose and see how it goes. If you don't notice a bad reaction for a week (for exaple) - that's great news. Then in time you can try and increase the dose and in time try the other supplement (b12).

Again, I am not a doctor. Maybe some other members of this site can offer a smarter advice.

@caitlinnathanie Also, if it turns out you are sensitive to those supplements, you can always try to supplement it through food rich in those vitamins.

A diet with variety and less processed the better. Also, supplements tend to pack a lot and, as you said , we're all healing and its best not to do too much at once. I used to love supplements but for some people its way too heavy at the moment.

Started 5mg lexapro 10/10/25 for anxiety. Initially helped but had adverse neurological affects in my bladder. Had to stop after two weeks and tapered over a month. From December to currently I’ve been withdrawing since with waves and windows. About 60% better, thank God. Currently using Xanax prn. I will not touch another ssri and will be seeking God and healthy lifestyles.

I would get my blood tests done again to be sure, for vitamin D you don't need more than 10-20 minutes in mild sunlight on your face and hands to get a sufficient daily dose, as for vitamin B12 if there's no deficiency much better to get it from food.

I’m so sorry you’re suffering at the moment.

Are you able to get outside even a little bit? I don’t think it takes much to increase vitamin D.

There are probably others here who know more about this, but if it was me I’d probably avoid the pill and go for something that releases hormones in a more targeted way. Like a hormonal IUD or nuvaring. So it still regulates your periods but is probably less likely to impact your mood? Just my two cents.

I’m not a medical professional and cannot offer medical advice. I am new to this journey and my thoughts are based only on my personal experience with psychiatric drugs. This is a peer site where we support each other on our taper/recovery journeys.

i have another question, can u take like a natural herb detox like: Haritaki

It is not a supplement just a natural herb. do you think you react poorly to it in withdrawal? its a detox for the brain and i hear a lot of good stuff about it

@caitlinnathanie Even though many of these things should be helpful and natural, they still can upset an already sensitized system. It could be like adding fuel to the fire. I would rather wait a bit for the system to calm down.

We are all desperate for a "quick fix" especially when we first start this withdrawal journey, but along the way we all learn that time and patience are the most important factors.
