Jacky Rose: I need help to reinstatment I'm VERY SCARED

Featured Replies

@Jacky Rose, there's a theory of psychology/philosophy that says the Universe will send you what you're interested in, even if what you're interested in isn't what you want. As @LostinCanada said, if you keep catastrophizing everything and ruminate on negative thoughts, that's what you'll keep getting.  You're doing what my therapist calls "scanning". You have a big ball of anxiety and you want someplace to put it, so you search for a reason to feel anxious.  Your mind plays "what if" games like "what if my cold triggers more anxiety"?  Acceptance is about realizing that its not the situation you're in at the moment or what your physical state is. Its realizing you have anxious thoughts that are looking for a subject to focus on, and that they'll find what they're looking for if you let them.  You need to refocus all that energy on more positive things like developing coping skills and calming techniques so every event in your life doesn't trigger spiraling thoughts.

Hi @Jacky Rose and welcome. As @Chippymentioned, once your CNS is sensitized, you can't just go back to before because this can cause kindling or a bad reaction to the drug. These drugs were not desig

  • @Jacky Rose People (like me) usually only rant when they're in enormous waves. I definitely had times where I felt a little more normal than usual 3 or 4 months into withdrawal. I also seem to "rememb

It's a cruel loop, it's our mind in the process, try not to breathe life into thoughts, it feels real especially when there are additional triggers but it's not, a thought has no power without belief in it, at the same time distraction would also be good, try to concentrate on external things, no matter what, anything that takes you out of yourself for a moment is blessed.

Be sure it won't stay that way, you will eventually find balance.

Anxiety can tourn a cold and a stomach ache into an incurable illness.  That's what it does--it takes minor things and creates a whole new catastrophic reality around them.  You'll be fine. You ARE fine.

Look at it this way. You have a bunch of people who've been where you are telling you that you'll get through this.  On the other side, you have your irrational anxious mind telling you that you're stuck.  Which one would you believe if it wasn't you going through it?

You have a point its just I saw this one post of someone who went off ct prozac and then took 3 years to feel even slightly better but again I need to KEEP reminding myself I'm not the same since I am not off the medication anymore and never wish to get off the medication. Does that make sense? Yoy can look at my timeline if I sound confusing. Bassically I accidentally ct for 2 months and then trying to get back on it.

I guess I'm just very scared do you thjnk I'm reinstatment will help me in the long run. You are very covered. Plenty of drug. You don’t even get to 100% cause the brain can’t handle that much you see. So every bit more drug you add after 20mg doesn’t really do anything to the receptors that’s good but might make you worse.

You can worry about the future in the future. We don’t make anyone come off their drug if they don’t want to. We are only here to help.

Good news despite the chest cold I got the most sleep I've had in awhile (when I started 20mg I started getting 2 hour intervals sleeps but now tonight I got 6 hours and extra 3 hours. Plus my brain fog feels less last night and this morning. Also I do notice it peaks after a few hours after med I think I am dealing with the med peaking in my blood rather than withdrawl to be fair most of these side effects began when I reinstated the med so most likely I am just very destablized and am stablizeing

Sounds good @Jacky Rose more to come. 😀

Nobody's ever died from anxiety.  You're not bed bound and you won't be unless you let your thoughts put you there.  The fear that anxiety creates can create some powerful physical symptoms but their transitory.  Anxiety wants you to play "what if" games with yourself and keep you locked in fear.  That's why you need to learn coping skills to deal with the thoughts so you can float past them instead of letting them control your thinking and your body.

@Jacky Rose People (like me) usually only rant when they're in enormous waves. I definitely had times where I felt a little more normal than usual 3 or 4 months into withdrawal. I also seem to "remember" events when I was really going through withdrawal more fondly.

It might be more related to anhedonia. You may not enjoy looking forward to something, and you may not enjoy it in the moment. But you may end up enjoying it in the future when you look back at memories. There are a lot of memories I have like that where I wasn't fully in the moment, and I do have some regrets on that, but they were still really good times. Even now, some windows of joy do come back to me.

It's gonna be okay.
