Midnight update

Night, okay, nothing terrible except for a few awakenings, 5 hours of sleep.

Day, mentally pretty good, relatively positive mind, worked more than usual, concentration was good, a bit restlessness here and there but nothing serious, some housework and the regular short evening walk.

Physically, throughout the day sharp stomach pains luckily brief, quite strong joint pain on the evening walk, tinnitus weakened a little, twitching returned already yesterday after a long break.

Overall, could be better but much worse as well so greatful for what is.

Hi @Fullhealing I didn't want to hijack @caitlinnathanie 's thread, but Tai Chi or something similar really can help. About this time five years ago, we were getting ready to return to the US from Portugal, and selling our US home remotely. It was pretty stressful, although not at the WD anxiety level. I started doing simple Tai Chi about an hour before bed and it really helped calm my body and mind. Here's one I did: Beginner Tai Chi

Other wd symptoms have been better this last 3 days. Bit a window. Not gone but better again.

Hope the day has been kind to you xxx

So kind of you to share the link @mstimc60 usually the gentle approach isn't my thing, more into intensity but it seems to be tooactivating as I'm going lower on the dose so I'll definitely give it a try, if it's beneficial I'll let you know.

Thank you.

I mix it up. My wife and I do some pretty brisk walking every day, including some uphill. That helps burn the physical energy. And I do calming and centering exercises to keep the brain in line.

Oh, I'm sorry it changed places, it seems to just keep moving to a different areas with our sensitivity in this process..

I know, it’s odd. I don’t really think of my back as a wd problem, but I’m starting to be suspicious as it’s behaving like one! Also never had this issues before.

but I'm glad it's getting better and that you're having relatively good days

Slowly slowly. Starting to actually visualise it going altogether. See how the next weeks and months go.

I'm pretty convinced, it doesn't spare any part of the body so it definitely manifests in pain as well, otherwise no explanation for what my body is going through, doctors have no clue either so..

My totally unscientific theory is that anxiety will find your weak point and exploit it. If you have an old injury, it'll make it hurt worse. If you're concerned about symptoms, it'll give them to you. Its devilish!

Started Paxil for GAD in 1999

Unsuccessful taper attempt in 2006

Paxilprogress helped with a successful taper completed in 2009

Using therapy and CBT to manage my anxiety

I offer advice based on my experience.  Nothing I share is intended to be medical or therapy advice.

Don't forget muscles are affected by low and high levels of serotonin, with all the fluctuations we have with this its not surprising we are having muscle issues ❤️🙏

I have to say, I wasn't concerned or expecting my back to hurt at all before it did. Im also very stoic and acceptant of my symptoms, yet they happen inspite of that. So second fear is real, and you can add to them, but WD sxs are the main contributor for most of us I think, rather than actual anxiety.
